73 Tasting Notes
This stuff is pretty good – the individual packaging makes the tea fresh, the taste is delicious. I’d recommend this one!
A strong black tea grown at 3,300 feet in an African volcano! Tastes great with a drop of milk.
Drank this tea on Nov 6th, 2013 at the Steepster meetup. So now I’m here trying to find out more about this mysterious volcano and the tea, LOL.
I did add some milk, and the tea tasted like a weak Ceylon tea – didn’t have that buzz that I was hoping for.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_volcanoes_in_Cameroon
Thanks to Fuzzy_Peachkin for the baggie and Nicole for the sample.
I haven’t tried too many oolongs yet, and this was same-same, yet different from other teas I have tried. I’m trying to imagine that this tea might be good paired with roasted or boiled peanuts.
Thanks, Nicole_Martin, for sample of this tea!
Once you try a Kenyan black tea, you dont go back to greens.
Malty, fresh, juicy
Woke me up in the afternoon
“dark rye or pumpernickel” color
Good breakfast tea
I would rate as a “Buy” for your tea portfolio
No Sugar, Milk, Honey, needed – WIN
I got a small sample of this tea from the NYC meetup on Friday.
The small ziplock bag had the following instructions:
2tsp / 8oz water
Steep 4 min @180 F
I filled my tea ball and heated some hot water.
The green leaves expanded in the tea ball.
Red Safflowers accented the tea.
The tea has a nice aroma and flavor. Afterwards I opened the teaball and inspected the wet tea leaves, Overall, it was an interesting, unusual tea that was different from my normal routine.

Matcha comes in a foil pouch.
I cut open the pouch and put the powder in an empty matcha container.
I made a iced cup of Matcha.
This matcha, like other premium matchas I have tried, has tiny clumps that will need to be whisked up.
Matcha has nice green color.
I bought this tea in NYC location after reading the review at www.teaformeplease.com by Nicole Martin. Nicole has a great blog.
Coworker gave me this tea.
It’s a nice economy summer afternoon drink.
I think it comes in packages of 100 bags, with string, no staples, not hermetically sealed.
Plopped a teabag into water.
That was easy.
Not bad, slight Lichee taste.
Yeah, I bought a bag of this last month and got around to trying it out.
Very strong orange and caramel smell.
Tastes good hot, very strong flavor tea.
Tastes good, but not something I’ll crave everyday.
I’ll keep it in my work desk drawer for now and sniff / huff it.
Went to Davids Tea, found this 5g sample for .50 cents. Will update this tasting note soon!
Yes, I discovered it tastes like fish. Even as a anchovy pizza lover, I don’t think I’ll be buying this one again. It also tastes like seaweed.
I’ll stick to the delicious Korean food, Kimchee, Korean Bakeries, Korean cars (Hyundai’s), Air Korea, Sexy Korean women, Korean massage parlors with happy endings, Korean Soap Operas – but this tea I’ll pass up on next time even though it was a bargain.
I know Steepster is not a dating site (but I try anyway by following women only who have cute pictures) but I do have an Asian fetish so if your in your late 20s – 30s, hit me up and we can hit up a convo on the couches in the back of the store. Serious tea drinkers, only.
All Jasmine tea taste the same to me. I had a piping hot tea in the Davids NYC store. It was raining out. I sat on the couch and thought about life. Not a bad cup of tea, just pretty ordinary. Maybe next time I’ll try something a bit more exciting.
