I re-steeped this for a second brew and it tasted just as great! I steeped it for a little longer since I figured the tea leaves would need it. I didn’t need to add any extra sugar and it tasted very good, almost as good as the first steep! I’m going to try to squeeze as many re-steeps out of this as possible since I only have enough for one more cup (thanks TeaTiff!)

Wow. I didn’t think I was going to like this tea, but I LOVE it. This may be one of the best teas I’ve ever had.

It tastes like roasted nuts and isn’t too sweet. It’s very unique and the black tea goes well with the flavors. Thank you so much TEATIFF for giving me a sample of this & introducing 52 Teas to me.

I added this to 3/4 cup milk and some Counter Culture espresso. I like this chai better than Tiger Spice because it is not as sweet, though I do wish it were more heavily spiced. I enjoyed their chai tea at the market & thought it would be as equally spicy.

Not a big fan. Steeped it for a few minutes with a few pieces of rock sugar and it just tastes like plain black tea. No creaminess at all.

I am glad I was able to try a Butiki tea, and I thank TeaTiff for the opportunity to try it out! I have some left and will definitely try another preparation.

I picked this up because of a recent swap request from Suziqzer. She requested 1.5 ounces of this hard-to-find limited-edition tea and I kept .5 ounces for myself. I’m thinking I should have kept a little more for myself because I like the way this tastes! I brewed it for a few minutes, afraid that it would get too bitter, but I put the tea back in to steep it some more. I also re-steeped this for a second time and it tasted almost as good.

I thought that this would taste artificial when I read the description. I don’t really see or taste peppermint candies in this tea, instead I see/taste actual dried mint leaves. The chocolate note is very subtle and adds a creaminess to the finish of the tea. The smell is clean and minty and it tastes quite refreshing.

I’m so glad you like it! :)

I sure hope they bring it back next year for the holiday season… I’m sure I’ll be through what I have long before the holiday season. I’ll be watching their website when the timing gets close, unless I happen to find something I like better in the meantime.
Thanks so much Nichole for making a trip to get some of this for me when I was feeling desperate about running out!

Another wonderful sample from my swap with Teatiff! I tasted this at first after the recommended 4 minutes of steeping and it was too bland so I steeped it longer. After over 10 minutes, it still tastes a bit bland to me, even with almost 2 teaspoons of tea for 8 ounces of water. Perhaps it is the brazil nuts that have a large volume and less tea leaves are making it into the cup? I did notice a bit of a sweet, artificial taste towards the back, but no real flavor.

This was a lovely sample from my first tea swap buddy, TeaTiff!

It smells a little savory, but tastes nice and sweet upon sipping. The taste is a bit bland for me, but I think it might grow on me (that, and I steeped it for 5.5 minutes instead of 6 minutes). I like the natural sweetness and neutral grassiness it has and will try it with a bit of sugar next time per the description’s recommendation.

drank Tiger Spice Chai by David Rio

I’m drinking this with about 2.5 tablespoons (instead of the recommended 3) and a full cup of almond milk. I also added in 2 ounces of fresh brewed espresso. I thought the chai flavor would be lost, but it is still very noticeable. I wish the chai flavor would be stronger (probably my fault for adding too much milk in), but I don’t think I could add more mix in since it tastes very sweet to me. (Recently I have been using Trader Joe’s Spiced Chai Latte mix / Hammonds Candy Cane Cocoa, so saying this is sweet means it is!)

I’ll give it another try though, since my friend gifted this to me for Christmas!

I actually really like this tea. I had low expectations for it based on the packaging & name, but I am pleasantly surprised. I chose it for a tasting today because I only have 2 tea bags left of it (I have gifted the rest) & I’m trying to clean out my tea cupboard. Now I’m bummed it will be gone soon!

The smell is surprisingly spicy when dry. Even after forgetting about it for about an hour and re-heating, the tea is not bitter. I like the smell and taste of this when brewed. Unlike most chai, the spices come at the end of the sip & are more balanced, almost like pumpkin pie spice. Not overly cinnamony either.

The end of an awesome tea is always so bittersweet :(

I don’t like cherries or floral teas, but this is one of my favorite teas. Something about the blend of flavors and the nice aroma when brewed makes this a delight to drink. It can get a bit bitter if overbrewed, so watch out. I believe this is only available seasonally during the Spring.
