13 Tasting Notes

Thé des Lords from Le Palais des Thes
8

This is the second tea from Palais des Thes that I review, and again it’s the same perfume taste, just lighter. This time, I’m not a fan and don’t like that perfume taste anymore. If I taste more perfume from this producer, I will not buy from them again.

Furthermore… and I can’t believe I’m saying this:
This tea make my nose snotty. Yes, as in mucus.

No milk, no sugar. It still makes me snotty.

Lemon Zinger from Celestial Seasonings

I love lemon tea, but if you look at the ingredient list it begins like this:
Hibiscus, rosehips, roasted chicory, orange peel…. wow – finally something that resembles lemon!

What, you think I wouldn’t notice that this is an hibiscus tea with lemon taste?

I don’t like herbal teas with hibiscus – I love lemon though.

Okey, if I drop the attitude a bit this tea taste of lemon. It’s the primary taste and the aftertaste is pleasant. If I just try to forget the hibiscus, I like this tea.

If you like hibiscus and lemon, you will love this tea.

Cacao Mint Black from Teavana

The name says it all – cacao and mint black tea. Really – it’s hard getting a tea like that wrong.

I’m a bit surprised there is no roiboos in the tea, it taste a bit like it. But I have looked at the ingredient list and looked at the tea itself and there is none.

So do I have a conclusion on this tea? So………. thinking not so hard, really

Not something I will purchase again, because there is probably a lot of other great chocolaty teas out there. In this tea, the mint taste is taking over the chocolate one. I will drink up the batch I bought, but it ends there.

Earl Grey Classic from Fortnum & Mason
100

This is my favorite classic Earl Grey tea, the one I always goes to. No competition.

It’s the best earl grey I have ever tasted, and it doesn’t have that awful aftertaste that lingers in your mouth long after taking a zip.

This tea I purchase from Fortnum & Mason, again and again and again and again. Their tea is pricey, but the best.

Blue of London from Le Palais des Thes

This is a tea I like against my own choice.

The tea gives off a strong perfume smell, but it doesn’t have a strong perfume, flowery taste. But the aftertaste on the other hand, has a high perfume taste.

I just can’t agree with myself, do I like the perfume taste or not? It’s a tea that wakes me up (and the taste buds). It’s ideal as a lunch/day tea.

It’s a tea I sometimes choose because it’s strong in taste and so unlike other earl grey tea.

I recommend this tea – or do I? It’s an interesting tea, and it will wake you up. But it’s really the first time I have ever labeled a tea interesting. And it is – I find this tea interesting.

Earl Grey Creme from Teavana
34

I tried the earl grey creme from teany, and was looking for the same tea on the net. I purchased this one from Teavana, but I was disappointed. It lacked that velvety taste that lingers after drinking it.

It’s a dessert tea, but I didn’t get that from it either.

It’s an okey earl grey tea, but not something I’m going to purchase again.
