Ceylon Orange Pekoe (loose leaf) from Twinings
82

This is one the first loose leaf teas I bought about a year ago when I started to get into loose leaf tea. (This and Earl Grey also from Twinings)
I spent last night mostly sleepless, tossing and turning to try to relieve pain from a pinched nerve in my neck.
This morning, it is not so bad, but my neck is stiff and sore.
Mainly, I am irritated, How dare my body slow me down! I have stuff to do!
But, my husband ordered me to take it easy today.
When I was thinking of what tea sounded good to me today this uncomplicated Twinings brew came to mind.
Its a pretty straight forward tea, yet it is not bitter, even if you are trying to pry your knitting away from your kitten and over brew it a bit.
So, today will be spent mainly on a heating pad, trying to relax muscles and nerves, but some knitting will get done, some pots of tea drank and some clothes folded and maybe later, even some cookies baked.
Its supposed to be chilly and snowy today, so all of those things sound perfectly acceptable to me.

Oh jeez all of those activities sound lovely on a cold snowy day! I am jealous of the snow (trade you for some rain!).. I do hope your neck gets better soon! Perhaps a hot bath?!

Bio

A Farmer’s Wife who drinks her tea to forget the din of the world.
Love all tea, from black to herbal concoctions.
Usually start my day with black tea and then move on to Oolong or Green in the afternoon, then finish the day with a tisane.
Loose Leaf teas are my preference, I say “Free the Leaves!” :)
When I am not drinking tea, I enjoy knitting, baking, reading, playing with one of our rescue animals or working along side my husband on our farm.

My rating system is rather relaxed:
50’s or under- Um, is this tea or did I get this from the slop bucket?
60’s- Not really my thing, certainly will not be purchasing again.
70’s- I will give this tea a few more tries to see if it grows on me , right now it is okay but not thrilling me.
80’s- Like this tea a lot. It might be a tea that I have to be in a certain mood for and therefore not a daily drinker, but try to have on hand for those “moods”
90’s and higher- ADORE! Will never be without!

I most always drink my tea plain.
No sweeteners or milk/cream.
