I’ve tried this tea quite a few times now and can’t believe that I’ve forgotten to write a tasting note!

The tea smells very sweet and syrupy, both dry and after steeping. Unfortunately, it leaves a chalky and dry feeling in my mouth and is a bit too sweet for my liking. I discovered that, for me, this tea is best as a latte. I add 4-8 ounces of hot milk and it is heaven in a cup. Especially now that the weather is turning cooler it is a great treat morning, day or night! I can taste a buttery smooth pancake with a syrup aftertaste. Not too sweet and no longer chalky.

This is a pretty tea and smells great too. The dry leaves smell strongly of peach with a hint of apple and pineapple. After steeping it is purely peach. Subtle yet delicious. I used 2 teaspoons and will probably leave it at that.

I had the last of my sample today. I did enjoy this tea and was able to get 3 steeps from 1 1/2 teaspoons. I still think it tasted better once it got cold; I feel like the flavors combined better and it went down smoother. I am going to miss this one but not enough to re-order it. There are too many other teas to try including the 15 samples I just received in the mail!

I received this as a gift. It smells significantly floral. It’s taste is first flowery then a hint of raspberry and a peppermint aftertaste. As it cools the peppermint gets stronger. This one is not for me.

I’ve had this tea for quite a while, previous to starting my tasting log. This is my last bag. I will not be purchasing this again. The Harney Soho chocolate coconut blend is much better than this.

The tea bag smells very artificial, quite chemical like. Unfortunately the taste is not much better. Adding milk, sweetener, anything….it does not help to better the flavor.

I received this sachet as a free sample with my order. I was a little nervous when I opened the packet and overwhelmingly smelled fruit. But as it steeped the black tea base came through and the citrus became a nice accent.

This tea tastes very nice. The black tea base is strong with a beautiful fruit flavor. I can’t taste any of the caramel, but maybe that’s what is making the tea so smooth on it’s way down!

I received this sample with my catalogue in the mail today. I figured I may as well try it for my afternoon tea.

The bag smells nice, very inviting. It has a good balance between the orange and cranberry. I boiled my water and let it steep for 4 minutes. I can still smell the cranberry and orange but it now smells medicinal, like warm cough syrup. I added my customary splash of milk. It tastes alright but does have a bit of medicinal taste.

I really fuddled this one up.
My family is visiting for the weekend, so I made extra for my sister to try. She only drinks grocery store teas (Lipton, etc) so I wanted her to try something better. I don’t think she liked it too much and I’m pretty sure she dumped it down the sink. Oh well.
I poured my water in and planned to let it sit for 3-4 minutes. Of course I got sidetracked. I didn’t get back to it until 6 minutes later. Luckily, it still tasted fine. But I got sidetracked again! I didn’t get back to my poor tea for 4 hours! It was just sitting there on the counter, waiting.
In the end, it was great that I neglected it. I like this tea better cold. It has a much stronger presence this way. I’m quite pleased.

This is a nice tea. It definitely smells like chocolate in the bag. I used 1 heaping teaspoon (after realizing I was only using a 1/2 teaspoon measuring spoon…oops) and steeped for 4 minutes. It still smells like chocolate, but more faintly. I tried this tea straight up, not adding milk as usual. I like it. I didn’t add anything to it at all, which is highly unusual for me and black teas. The chocolate is definitely there but very subtle. I think I need to just start doubling what the package recommends from the get go. I will try 2 heaping teaspoons next time.

I increased the amount used from 1 to 1.5 teaspoons and steeped for 4 minutes. It still could be stronger. I left it alone though, no milk or sugar. It is still very pleasant to drink. The chocolate and hazelnut are both there. I guess I just prefer more bold tasting teas. I will have to try increasing the amount to 2 teaspoons next time.
