1759 tasting notes

Ok before I get into the review, I find it odd that the official tasting note mentions “artificial” and yet on their website, it lists nothing of the sort in ingredients.
That said there is something a little fake tasting in the tea, but it didn’t put me off much.
I didn’t find anything especially memorable, and I did buy my cuppa iced and found it super easy to drink. It was gone in ten minutes. There was certainly a lime/fruit element, though any white tea flavour was entirely overshadowed. Also I found it a bit sweet, almost as if sugar had been added to my cup, but I never asked them to do that so maybe it was just the fruity component. Also, I noticed a particular spicy note that I find in a lot of citrus herbal type blends. No idea if I’m the only one who feels this way but its almost a little musty in a way, but with a citrus tang to it.
So while I didn’t mind my cup, and I’d have it again, I’ll definitely be sampling a few more options before coming back round to this!

Lately I’ve been craving iced teas when I’m on the go on my own in the city and I’ve learned the hard way that bringing tea with me when I have bags and whatnot to carry is a terrible idea. If I’m with someone who drives then fine, but otherwise I’m stuck buying beverages or just bringing water. I never leave my waterbottle behind… somehow its only the tea related ones that get lost!! shrugs
Bah.

I also find that asking people to make your tea iced makes it less prone to being screwed up, which makes my life easier because few people make tea the way you make it for yourself, ya know? or am I the only one who thinks like that?

Yep I know what you mean Keychange! I’m kinda picky though. A lot of teas in iced form just fall flat for me, even though I’ve been craving them lately. Leads to a few disappointing cuppas heh

Let’s see… I’m a tea and workout fanatic, I work in HR, and most of my friends consider me to be an egg. White on the outside, Asian on the inside :)
-from philosophy to food, I love it all
Otherwise, what you see is what you get! I can be very straightforward and yet shy.

Also, I’ve started taking tea sommelier classes and it is an absolute blast! Well, so far I’ve only finished the first out of eight courses, but I am really looking forward to the next one.

Anyhow, if your curious as to how I rate things, this is how I work…

Like eating dirt, or some other unsanitary indelicacy that mentioning in my profile here would likely get me banned.
I don’t think I’ve found cause to banish a tea to the wasteland yet though so who knows what it’d inspire ;P

You know that expression “Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater”? I imagine drinking that water would be terrible enough to warrant this rating!
I’d never make my enemy drink this, but perhaps I’d throw it at them. Good thing I don’t have any enemies!

This is “tea”?? I tried finishing the cup… but my body rejected it. There may be others who enjoy this tea, but it’s beyond me!

I tried liking it, and I can almost get there! I certainly don’t hate it, but something is holding me back. Allergies? Men in white suits? who knows… certainly not me!

Lovely tea! Not my all time fave but close. I likely wouldn’t repurchase, but may decide to based on many factors: price, accessibility, whether it fills a “tea gap”, medicinal applications, and how often I crave it.
Every once in awhile I find the sweet spot that bumps these up to 90+. Those are the days I need to buy a lotto ticket!

Sweet Camellia! this is realllly good tea! Don’t talk to me until I’ve finished my cup…

Tea of the gods. I would do anything to get my hands on more of this liquid gold!
