I loooooooove the combo of orange and chocolate so you can bet I’m there to try it when I see it in a tea flavouring! I guess that kinda means I made this cuppa with high hopes. And I’m happy to say that I was not disappointed :)
Spot on flavour. It was rich, and toasty and had just the right balance of chocolate vs orange. Worked well with the base I think but the flavours did obscure that a bit. I don’t mind, I got the terry’s chocolate orange experience without the calories or need to guzzle water! A much more pleasant culinary delight, I daresay (those chocolates tend to make me so thirsty).

Piping hot, this was delish!! Love.
But once cooled down, something in there just wasn’t working for me. I’ll try it again to see if I brewed it up all wrong somehow. But I may have to gift this to someone, as it made me feel a bit queasy. Brought back memories of when I tried forcing myself to drink Earl Grey. The ingredients don’t say anything about bergamot so I doubt my that was a factor. .
I can’t offer much of a tasting note otherwise. It didn’t taste very appleish, to me, which is a sign that maybe I am allergic to another ingredient.
Sadness.

Indigobloom

Yup. Exactly :(

I wonder if I am going to feel the same way about this one. I got a sample w my last order. I have adored previous apple blends from QTT though. Adored.

Indigobloom

I hope you like it much better than I!! this is my first order from them. Hoping it is the only one out of the bunch like that!

Not a bad tea. Fruity in a familiar way, but well done. Very well blended.
I enjoy the mix of light and dark flavours: bold puerh, light fruit… kinda like a complex wine. Heck, throw in some spice and I could be fooled into thinking it was mulled wine. Well, not really, but it could be a great alternative for those who don’t drink :D
After finishing my mug, I’m now noticing a slight sharp aftertaste, followed by a bitterness that I’ve never experienced before. Similar to tonic (soda)water. For that reason alone, I’m dropping the rating a few points.
It isn’t something I want a lot of in my cupboard, but I found it extremely easy to drink, and quickly. Perhaps I should keep it around for those days I feel dehydrated

A nice sipping tea. Nothing exciting, but very smooth and comforting. Just the right amount of maltiness and copper. Not overly astringent. Good with a dollop of milk. I dig it.
I’m not sure if it’d do well in a travel mug, so best to keep it for the house.

So not what I expected. I may have underleafed?
It was very green and light. A bit fruity, definitely vegetal. and kinda brothy. Surprisingly sweet with a lingering bitter yet sweet aftertaste that is actually rather pleasant. Reminds me a lot of Jiaogulan, an herbal tea that I thought was Greek but apparently comes from China. Bah. I digress.
Perhaps my palate hasn’t been entirely cleansed from the Tomato tea? I did brush my teeth between cups. Hmmm.
Must try it again soon…

I thought I would hate this. But I love basil and thought maybe I’m wrong. One of those blends I always wanted to try because its so unique.
Turns out of course, that I adore it!!! Wow. Seriously enjoying the wonderful mix of spices. It almost has a fizzy taste as well, from the pepper I presume. Nomnomnom

Delicious. Milk or not, sugar or not… I can enjoy this many ways. I’ll need more shortly!!
I love the hint of smokiness. No wonder I adore it, it has my fave, Assam Banaspaty in it. Hehe! giddy
Reminds me quite a bit of the Queen Catherine. Must experiment more to determine just how much…

drank Fruity Ginger by CitizenTea

This was an old fave under Teaopia. It is still a fave now. I think this will be on my list of rotating “permanents”. I generally get sick of any tea after its been in my cupboard awhile, but I’ll be restocking this one often! Closest I can get to having a constant supply.
Sighs. The ginger and fruit zing just really gets me. Happy day! :D

So I bought a tea sample last month from Bulk Barn. But I neglected to write down the full name, thinking I’d try it before forgetting. Ha. SMH.
I think it was a holiday themed type? Oolong… the leaves are pretty huge, and balled up when dry. and kinda crinkly, which leads me to think they are old. Except the flavour is all there, and pretty good at that. I’m quite impressed. A really nice balance of spices. Nutmeg for sure, a bit of clove, cinnamon and I can’t really say what else. It all worked perfectly with the base. Very comforting. It tasted like a warm hug.
If I didn’t have a cupboard explosion on my hands here, I would seriously consider picking up some more.

If I didn’t have a cupboard explosion on my hands here….

Golden words.

Indigobloom

Right?! For the first time in ages I’m really enjoying the surplus. So I don’t mind haha

Spot on eclaire. It’s a very particular taste so I didn’t expect this level of accuracy! Holy smokes. Now I’m sad to only have a sample. The custardy now, the whipped cream, light chocolate…. all there! Happy sighs. Today has been a good tea day. I need more of this one. A lot more

Indigobloom

And again it won’t let me post from my phone properly. Will have to adjust typos later :/

Evol Ving Ness

This one sounds divine. DIVINE.

Indigobloom

It so IS Evol, I adore it!!

Evol Ving Ness

Happy tea moments are happy. Enjoy!

Indigobloom

Hehe thanks. I plan to sit down and properly savour the next one :)

Bio

Let’s see… I’m a tea and workout fanatic, I work in HR, and most of my friends consider me to be an egg. White on the outside, Asian on the inside :)
-from philosophy to food, I love it all
Otherwise, what you see is what you get! I can be very straightforward and yet shy.

Also, I’ve started taking tea sommelier classes and it is an absolute blast! Well, so far I’ve only finished the first out of eight courses, but I am really looking forward to the next one.

Anyhow, if your curious as to how I rate things, this is how I work…

0-25
Like eating dirt, or some other unsanitary indelicacy that mentioning in my profile here would likely get me banned.
I don’t think I’ve found cause to banish a tea to the wasteland yet though so who knows what it’d inspire ;P

25-50
You know that expression “Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater”? I imagine drinking that water would be terrible enough to warrant this rating!
I’d never make my enemy drink this, but perhaps I’d throw it at them. Good thing I don’t have any enemies!

50-70
This is “tea”?? I tried finishing the cup… but my body rejected it. There may be others who enjoy this tea, but it’s beyond me!

70-80
I tried liking it, and I can almost get there! I certainly don’t hate it, but something is holding me back. Allergies? Men in white suits? who knows… certainly not me!

80-90
Lovely tea! Not my all time fave but close. I likely wouldn’t repurchase, but may decide to based on many factors: price, accessibility, whether it fills a “tea gap”, medicinal applications, and how often I crave it.
Every once in awhile I find the sweet spot that bumps these up to 90+. Those are the days I need to buy a lotto ticket!

90-95
Sweet Camellia! this is realllly good tea! Don’t talk to me until I’ve finished my cup…

95-100
Tea of the gods. I would do anything to get my hands on more of this liquid gold!
