This is basically steamed milk with a pyramid pouch of Tazo Earl Grey and a few vanilla shots. I like it the most out of Starbucks’ selection of tea lattes, but sometimes it can get too syrupy (depending on the barista).

Maybe it’s because I’ve had a small tin of this sitting in my cupboard for half a year, but it’s mellower (and I think sweeter) than other jasmine greens I’ve tried. That’s not a bad thing.
Always a dependable breakfast tea (even though it’s past noon already today). Steeped for 4 1/2 minutes, it’s got a strong, malty flavor and dark reddish-brown liqueur.

I first tried this at Siptea out in downtown LA. It was so good, I bought a couple ounces to take home with me. The vanilla smells absolutely amazing — every time I introduce a new friend to this, the usual reaction is “whoa.”

Delicious one-dollar chai served up in a dixie cup at a hole-in-the-wall 24-hour hangout for South Asian cabbies. Very New York. Very delicious.

This is one of the first premium teas I picked up when I really started getting serious about tea last year.
The nutty aroma of the dry leaves comes through wonderfully at first whiff, and it’s a great lunchtime/afternoon tea, especially when paired with spicy Thai food.
