Get Relaxed - No.14 (Wellness Collection) from The Republic of Tea

tastes like a balanced blend of lavender and rooibos, with a hint of rose. Not too perfumey or too woody or too “herby.” Ok I guess. Will let you know if it calms me down. I do like the scent, but could do with less rose…

Fusion Red and White from Stash Tea Company

I’m gonna have to buy some of this, as I was loathe to use my last teabag, but wanted to drink it! I was craving it’s smooth, velvety texture. Maybe I’ll get it loose? I’ve never tried a loose Stash tea before…

Green Tea Peach from Steaz

so far I don’t like their other flavors, bu this one I actually have cravings for!

Canadian Ice Wine from Culinary Teas

was looking for the right tea to go with my leftover pizza for lunch. I think this will fit the bill!

Lipton Black Tea from Lipton

backlogging from sat 1 may -

Cup of hot Lipton with lemon at the Arcade diner in Memphis. The trolley couldn’t get there because the switches were out, so after walking the last few blocks through a deluge, with tornado sirens going off around us, this really hit the spot. Everything has it’s place, and the rest of our breakfast was worth all the peril we braved to get there.

Maple Bacon from Man Teas

This was GREAT with a teaspoon of good quality maple syrup. The perfect tea to go with my breakfast of fried egg on english muffin w/ provolone. I love the sweet, brisk, and slightly smoky notes of the tea. I am raising my rating, as the syrup really made this tea.

Blueberry Green Iced Tea Powder from Stash Tea Company
43

I added this to a Steaz Green Tea with Lemon – Unsweetened to make it drinkable (the “tea” tasted like lemon water!"). It did render it drinkable, but I have no idea why I liked this powder so much the first time. It tastes kinda fake and a bit chalky, with the occasional floatie.

Green Tea Peach from Steaz

very refreshing, natural-tasting flavor. This is my canned tea of choice (not that I drink much canned tea!)

White Tangerine from Revolution Tea

I followed the time/temp parameters to the letter, but it tastes bitter and oversteeped :-(
I guess I’ll put it in the fridge and see if chilling will save this cuppa…

Chai from Whittard of Chelsea
51

made this tried-and-true, super-easy, foolproof recipe using this Chai instead of Earl Grey. The perfect treat for my yoga instructor’s retirement party: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/claire-robinson/earl-grey-shortbread-cookies-recipe/index.html

Note: this blend has large leaves and spices, some of which had a crunchy texture in the final cookie (the EG I’ve used is much more fine). So, you may want to crush the leaves with mortar & pestle or a spice grinder a bit before putting them into the food processor.

Feinste Krauter (Finest Herb Selection) from Teekanne

tastes “herbal” to me – can’t pick out much. A chamomile base, a hint of licorice/anise (but not enough to put me off). It’s ok. Really I just wanted an herbal tea after a night of overindulging. Since it was German food, I reached for one of my German teabags from a int’l swap.

Christmas Morning from Stash Tea Company

tastes a bit flat today. Maybe it was the stale water. Or the fact that the teabags are getting old. Or maybe I’m finally learning that this tea is not the be all and end all. I’ll wait and try another before lowering my rating.

drinking more of my pitcher of iced Pina Colada Honeybush. Just the smell of this is like instant stress relief to me!

Jane's Garden from Harney & Sons

Delicate, with a hint of grass and roses. It does make me picture sitting in a garden in spring and smelling the plants around me. Overall the flavor is too light for me though.

Matcha from Teavana

I made matcha chocolate bark for a tea meetup by substituting matcha for cinnamon in this recipe below (I’ve made the normal recipe before and it’s good). I also did not toast the almond slivers, because I forgot. However, I’ve burned them before, and I think untoasted goes better with matcha anyway.

from this morning – lovely as always with milk and sugar. I really should drink this every morning. I certainly have enough of it…

Pina Colada Honeybush from 52teas

It’s very good iced. The pina colada flavor (more colada than pina, really) makes it sweet enough that no sweetener in necessary. However, I do think a bit of raw sugar, palm sugar, or some other tropical-friendly sweetener may add a bit off depth. I actually found myself wanting to add some pineapple juice to make a “tea punch” of sorts. Alas, I don’t have any.

iced almond milk matcha latte with flaxseed.

(I prefer it as a smoothie w. same ingred + strawberry yogurt, but this will do until I make it to the store.)
