All I can taste is the bergamot. I really don’t get any cheesecake flavor at all. Pity, I really really wanted to like this. It does taste good, I like bergamot but I can’t detect even a hint of cheesecake, not smelling the dry leaves, and certainly not in the brewed cup.

I’ll drink it all, but given the option I wouldn’t buy it again. I can get the same effect much cheaper elsewhere.

drank Caramel Apple Oolong by 52teas

Today was a mostly lazy day. I planted some flowers in the morning and decided to cuddle up with this tea and have a Sons of Anarchy season two marathon. I can say that this tea pairs well with both Ron Perlman and screaming at the television when things don’t go your way.

I infused this tea a few times, my lack of skill/attention with oolong teas led to some mighty tasty cups and some hideous ones. All together I do like this tea though. Read the other reviews. This tea is dang good, all together the perfect addition to my not so busy day.

There is just a faint bit of apple taste to me. I don’t know. I taste it, but it’s not like smaking me over the face with it which is nice, I guess.

I was surprised to see this on here. It’s really just brown sugar water, but I’m fond of it anyway. If I’m not feeling like hot tea (or actual tea) at work I pick up the big Styrofoam 32 oz on my way.

I really like this stuff. It kind of reminds me of coconut cream pie, including a nice buttery crust effect, it really is remarkable.

I can’t wait to get back to it but I want to try at least one carefully prepared cup of all the new teas I bought. In the mornings i can get sort of sloppy and impatient for my caffeine, and it seems unfair to judge a product when I’m not doing my part to follow correct procedure.

Prepare for a long winded story with a really short review…

I was waiting in Great Bend , Ks to go on a third date with the most awesome and beautifully geeky guy you could possibly imagine. We were going to see the lego movie which I was less than enthused about. But the theater is dark, he’ll be right beside, and it’s our third date. In some ways I feel like I’ve reached adulthood, dating is not one of those ways. My social anxiety saw it fit to kick into high gear, because of course. I spotted a coffee shop not far from the theater and decided a hot drink would be good to calm my nerves. Next to the register was a black book shelf display where some poor employee had artfully placed a bunch of coffee and tea related nonsense. I didn’t know if was allowed to touch it. My eyes were immediately drawn to the bright labels of two 52 teas pouches, this and a peanut butter and jelly rooibos. I touched them anyway. I asked if they were for sale and earned myself an eye roll and an “of course”. I excitedly buy this one and took it as a very good omen. The date went well, the movie was amusing, we kiss and I smile for the whole hour and a half trip home. Because I’m eleven, apparently. I take this home and promptly forget about it for a month or two. When I look it up on Steepster I’m shocked to see that all the reviews are four years old. I contact Frank and see if he has recently reblended this stuff. I get a ‘nope’ (not literally, he was very nice). He’s surprised I’ve gotten my hands on it.

I picked out all of the cashews and white chocolate chips because they were stale. They wouldn’t have killed me, but eww.

I’ve been drinking it all week and it does taste like white chocolate, but I don’t get much cashew, I did pick them all out, so it’s understandable. I will be very sad when it is gone, I need to remember to go hit the re-blend button..

The tea was a little weak so I ended up using fairly large amounts of the leaf to get a good cup, but that’s probably just because it’s old.

When you open the box this stuff smells like lemony heaven. I followed the brew directions on the box and was left with a thin, slightly tart, vaguely lemon flavored, cup of hot red water. I need to give up on these boxed teas but they are so dang convenient.

drank Raspberry Royale by Bigelow

I’d been wanting to taste this one for a while now, but have been to lazy to go pick it up. Recently I moved from Kansas to Florida, and it’s been hectic. All my good teas are in the mail, I’m still waiting for them to arrive. I took the Amtrak from Kansas to here, a three day journey. I really expected my package to beat me here, all I’ve had to drink is what I packed in my case, good ol’ Irish breakfast and some dubious looking bagged oolong that my dad bought for me that I’ve been putting off trying for a long time.

I’m sitting in a hotel in Tamarac today and decided to try this tea, which was complimentary. I definitely oversteeped this, it’s getting me at the back of my tongue with this weird tannin thing. other than that it seems nice, the raspberry is prominent but I can still taste the black tea.

I seem to like most Bigelow teas, and this is no exception. I swiped a couple more bags to take home with me. I’ve been dying for a unique cup of tea for a long while.

drank Butterbeer by 52teas

This is my last note on this tea, I promise. Just finished my mug full of this using the latte recipe. I think I’ll use less of the milk mixture next time, I’d like to taste more of the tea. I can’t wait to try it cold. I don’t think I’d willingly drink butterbeer tea any other way after tasting it like this, honestly. At least guilt of drinking something so sweet will make my tea last longer :).

It was not much better cold, as I was hoping. It seems like its missing some sort of creaminess for me. I’m going to try the Latte recipe that 52teas has listed along with their coconut cream pie, I’ll report back in a few days.

Bio

I’m 25 from Kansas.

I absolutely adore flavored teas, although I’m starting to appreciate the unflavored ones a bit more. It all seems to be a learning process.

I’ll try to take the time to describe my feelings on teas with few reviews more thoroughly, but no promises, I’m both easily amused and distracted.
