This is another oolong that reminds me of black tea in terms of the richness or intensity, I guess. It’s hard to pinpoint exact flavors from this one, but I’d have to say that it has an overall warm flavor. It’s less fruity/light to me and more like spices or roasted flavors. It also resteeps very nicely. I don’t think I am sensitive enough to detect any flavor changes from steep to steep, but I do appreciate that the flavor holds strong. It isn’t bitter at all, but there is a slight astringency. Unfortunately, it looks like Verdant is sold out of this tea, eek! Every time I fall in love with one of their teas it seems that it’s out of stock. Guess that means other people are loving it, too! And have faster ordering than me.. Ah well, this is one I’ll have to keep my eye out for.
