This reminds me a lot of genmaicha, which I assume must be from the sesame seeds. It offers a nice toasty kind of flavor to the tea, which works so well with the grassy green tea flavor. And the caramel is very subtle, mostly present when the tea has cooled slightly, and more noticeable in later infusions. But it adds a lovely sweetness to the cup.
I might need to place a stupid expensive order with Harney & Sons. Gah, shipping.
