18 Tasting Notes
I have changed my opinion about this tea.
I first tried Spiced Fig as part of the Winter Collection package. I wanted to try everything so I just grabbed the package (the store was nuts).
I used more than the recommended amount of tea. It was really chunky and I wanted to taste all the bits so I used two heaping spoonfuls. I really enjoyed the flavour. The 25gr package made four or five tasty cups. Not so good. The taste made me want to buy more but not at that rate.
Last week, I was in the store and they had samples of Spiced Fig. Yuck! Sweet water. Just as others have said. Though I still enjoy the flavours, I am disappointed that you have to use so much tea to get those flavours to come through. Especially since it tastes SO awful when made as directed. Nice idea, but it didn’t work.
I am still on the look out for a nice, spicy, figgy tea for the holidays.
I read reviews of this tea and thought I’d give it a try. I am glad I did. I am really enjoying this cup right now. I like that I can taste the black tea. Subtle cloves and vanilla, not noticing the lemon peel. I’d prefer real cinnamon rather than natural and artificial cinnamon flavouring but since it doesn’t taste artificial, I’ll let that go.
I have to say, the best part – the glitter! So pretty in a clear mug. With the snow falling this feels like a festive cup of tea.
I love this tea. It is one of the first teas I tried from David’s Tea. I received a sample in my very first order. Last time, I ordered two packages of the sachets which I really like because they are convenient for the office and on-the-go.
This is the perfect blend of mint and spice. I find this to be a soothing and relaxing flavoured green tea.
