My husband drove the 3 or so hours each way (!) to the newest Davidstea near us this past Saturday (my birthday) so I could redeem my 4 (gulp) 2oz bags and get my free brewed tea for my birthday. I wound up picking this one out because it tasted so good at the front of the store and didn’t require any additives. I thoroughly enjoyed it on the long journey home and picked up 3 of the 3 for $15 tins so I’d have some at home (this, eggnog and apple custard – as a side note, both this and the eggnog are cheaper per gram or ounce if you buy the mini stackable tins for the $5 in store price and you get a cute tin!).

This is a nice slightly creamy cinnamon tea. I love that it’s an oolong and not a black tea. I can see myself sipping this all winter long. It shouldn’t be a surprise when i say I enjoyed my free cup to go!

I also “bought” Gold Rush, Mulberry Magic, Vanilla Orchid and Butterfly Jasmine.

I recently discovered loose leaf tea and am already addicted (much to my husband’s dismay)! I prefer fruity teas iced and savory teas hot. Looking forward to drinking and chatting.

Some likes/dislikes I’ve been noticing:

Likes:
Pineapple
Jasmine
Fruity White Teas
lighters Blacks
Most Oolongs (especially greener varieties)
dessert teas
tisanes iced that don’t require added sweetener

Dislikes:
Spicy flavors unless in chai
astringent black teas
heavy ginger teas
teas with licorice (as primary ingredients – somehow I like some where the licorice is in the back drop)
heavily oxidized oolongs

For my own reference, I’m only placing “full size” teas in my cupboard.
