I cold-brewed this for about 24 hours and it is lovely iced and sweetened. There’s a berry flavor and also a brief hint of orange and mango. It’s bright, slightly tart and fruity.

This is another tea that wasn’t too bad, even hot. I received it as a sample sachet with my last order. I brewed per the instructions. Without sweetener it was only ok, but once I added something, it was like bam! Dried pinneaple. It was almost a little too sweet. Later, I resteeped and it was a lot less pinneaple and you could actually taste the oolong. It’s nice and I have another sample sachet to use.

I suppose this is a lot healthier than eating a bag of dried pinneaple so it gets a thumbs up from me.

It’s definitely growing on me, I’ve already had 2 large iced tumblers of it today. I made a big pitcher it of it and cold-brewed it overnight. Definitely requires sweetener though and I’m really trying to get off the pink stuff. Once you add sweetener, you can really start to taste the watermelon.

This one is much more pleasant iced and sweetened. But there’s still something about the flavor that is a little off for me. I’m not sure what it is.

Second steep was much less spicy and generally more pleasant but still a bit bland as far as flavor is concerned. I’d probably prefer this without the spice at all.

I received a sample of this in my recent DAVIDsTEA order. I’m glad I only received a sample and didn’t purchase a bag of it because it’s only ok. It is very bland. I had to add sweetener and some milk to it. I mostly get cinnamon and chile and a very light chocolate but it’s mostly covered up by the spice. It’s not bad, it’s just not really my taste. Also, it produces a rather murky cup. I used the full 5 gram sample and steeped for 5 minutes.

While I wouldn’t purchase, the chile has been very successful in clearing my sinuses.

I wasn’t terribly impressed with this one either, but it’s nice to hear that it can be helpful to clear sinuses :)

I don’t know what I did wrong with this one, but all I got when hot and without sweetener was a tart lemon. I’m going to try again and mix it up a little.

Ok, I’m now on my 2nd hot mug (and I have 16oz cooling to have iced tomorrow). I’m definitely enjoying this and pleasantly surprised that so far 3 steepings have produced another 2 cups of hot tea.

I followed the instructions to a T for this one. With my new variable temp tea kettle and handy timer. My water was 175 on the dot and I steeped for 2 minutes. I anticipated drinking it iced (so I used 6 tsp for 16oz), but the smell was so subtle that I tried it hot. Generally, I’m not a fan of hot tea but this was pleasant, even without added sweetener. It smells and tastes a little like honeysuckle and a very subtle pear. It also has a lemony note but it’s far from overwhelming.

Pretty nice, and I’ll continue to use up the 2oz bag I purchased. I might even drink it hot.

I haven’t tried this on its own but I tend to mix it with other fruity teas (I prefer all my tea – aside from chai – over ice). I love slightly tart, punchy flavors (love hibiscus) and this fits right in. While the general price is low, it only comes with 15 bags so it really isn’t that cost effective.

Bio

I recently discovered loose leaf tea and am already addicted (much to my husband’s dismay)! I prefer fruity teas iced and savory teas hot. Looking forward to drinking and chatting.

Some likes/dislikes I’ve been noticing:

Likes:
Pineapple
Jasmine
Fruity White Teas
lighters Blacks
Most Oolongs (especially greener varieties)
dessert teas
tisanes iced that don’t require added sweetener

Dislikes:
Spicy flavors unless in chai
astringent black teas
heavy ginger teas
teas with licorice (as primary ingredients – somehow I like some where the licorice is in the back drop)
heavily oxidized oolongs

For my own reference, I’m only placing “full size” teas in my cupboard.
