This is definitely one of my favorite oolongs. It’s just has the classic “oolong” taste you’ve been used to if you grew up in an Asian household or frequented Asian restaurants (that served oolong and not green teas).
My roommates love Ti Kuan Yin too and have their own tins and bags from different companies.
Just had two small pots of extra strong overbrewed black tea — so I’m switch over to something light and fruity.
I had to go into lab early this morning. So I just grabbed one of these teabags from my roommates’s stash and put it in my thermos to go. Unfortunately I just took naps during the downtime instead of drinking my tea and being productive. When I got home, the tea was super strongly brewed — so I had to water it down a lot. Still good and at least I’m awake now.
Having a nice cup of warm chai in the afternoon.
Had it straight out of the fridge — so it’s was nice and cool — which went nicely with my really spicy, garlic noodles.
Wanted something semi-strong and fruity.
Really tired this morning. Wasn’t in the mood for a black tea because that’s all I had yesterday so I went for a strong oolong instead. This is very smoothing and is slowly waking me up.
This morning’s tea! Brewed very strongly. <3
It’s a little late so I wanted something decaf — hooary for grain teas.
Still playing around with this one to get the right condensed milk to whole milk to tea leaves to water ratio for me. I’ve almost got it this time… just a little too much condensed milk.
Brewed this darjeeling very strong today — I did not have a productive three day weekend… thus far?
I had a pot of Sakurambo Vert this morning to go with my special k with red berries cereal. Very yummy.
Simple oolong. <3
Got a sample bag of this from my cousin. Brewed it strong and added a bit of milk. It’s smooth and yummy and has a good kick to it like with most chai.
Went very well with my bagel with spinach & artichoke cream cheese breakfast. Bringing it to keep me awake in classes today. It should not legal to have classes before 10am.
Grabbed a quick cup from the fridge before heading out.
I love mixing my genmai cha with matcha (http://steepster.com/teas/maeda-en/2498-shiki-matcha-powder)! The matcha definitely gives it a little kick that I especially need when it’s one of those mornings.
We finally have milk again! Chai!
It’s going to be a long night so I’m making something a little strong.
I shared this with my club today because it’s currently my “freshest” tea (i.e. it was my most recent purchase). Everyone seemed to really like it =)
I always make a pot of tea in the morning to drink along side my breakfast and to wake me up. I bring the same tea to class with me in my ever so handy thermos.
This morning the tea was the roobos tropica with some jasmine pearls because I was in the mood for something a bit fruity this morning.
This was a tea given to me for my birthday last year. I only have about a 1/3 of the tin left and I can’t wait to reuse the tin for another tea because it’s very pretty.
I added way too much condensed milk this time so it’s much sweeter than I like.
This is one of my favorite oolong because of its slight nutty flavor. Unfortunately this will be my last pot for a while since I just finished off the tin.
