LOVELY! a chai without nutmeg or whatever spice it is that i cannot stand. this is a lovely tea, the underlying chai actually being quite rich, dark, deep, heavy and lovely. the spices are there, but not overwhelming – this is pretty good without milk and sugar, and absolute cozy fluffy warm heaven with milk and sugar! perfect winter’s morning cuppa.
gracious, this totally shoudln’t count, b/c i mixed this with some LALALA german chamomile on the first try, but i REALLY needed a quick calmer, and this cuppa did the job. grassy and delish, yet creamy and full in the mouth – now, some of this might be the chamomile, i don’t know exactly. what i DO know is i am looking forward to many, many more green rooibos combos in my near future…
this JUST came in the mail, right in time for my afternoon tea! i haven’t had an EG Creme before, however this is the smoothest EG i’ve ever had. must be the Creme! this really is an extraordinarily tasty cuppa, and the mouthfeel is just delish. it’s not as fruity/bergamot-y as, say, twinings, and it’s definitely lacking the citrus-y that Lady Greys tend to have. this is a GOOD THING, mind you.
this tea in general = A Good Thing. yum!
ok giving this a shot as my all day (or at least all morning) oolong. i’d tried it before, don’t recall what i thought, but i wasn’t really ready for oolongs yet at that time.
it certainly smells delightful! the taste of this here first cuppa is light and fresh and green, and thankfully the perfume doesn’t overwhelm the flavor (or i’d be SO outta here!). perfect wake up tea.
mmmm, switched from a milk oolong all morning long to this one all afternoon. wise choice. while the milk oolong had a heavy hand (not necessarily a bad thing), this tea is light and delicate, cleansing the palate in a marvellous way, leaving a light floral note in its wake. was good for 3 infusions, and i’m sure i could have kept going, but i ran out of time! will have to repeat this very soon.
hmmm. for all the Den’s Teas that i loved, i figured this one for a shoe-in. alas, it is not. it does smell wonderful, but it sure brews up weak. i left the second steeping even longer, but still. meh. i mean, i can taste the potential, but it’s incredibly blah. it is early enough afternoon that i may just add another tsp or two and steep again, just to see.
