Pretty sure vanilla almond milk is my new best friend for flavoured matchas!
I haven’t tried it with a straight matcha, but maybe monday I’ll try it out :)

My school schedule is perfect this quarter. Monday 2-4, Tuesday 1-5, Wednesday 2-6, and Thursday 1-3. IT’S FREAKIN PERFECT. I’ve decided that I’ll have matcha before class every morning so I won’t fall asleep in class hehe :))

Oh oh oh HELLO.
So I legit went to the store this morning because I wanted matcha and I had no milk, so I just got my usual fat free milk and I got vanilla almond milk as well because… Dude I was just craving that right now okay.

So I made this matcha with my vanilla almond milk and DANG THIS BRINGS OUT THE FLAVOURS SO MUCH 15/10 WOULD RECOMMEND

this is their free sample this month and I can’t wait to try it!

is this regular or distinct?

Ahh I didn’t know this was their free sample of the month! Dude. It’s so good okay.
And I got this from MissB and she wrote “Distinctive (?)” on it so… I’m assuming it’s distinctive flavouring?
This first time I had it, I didn’t sweeten it at all, so I guess the vanilla bit of the almond milk brought the english toffee out more

thank you;-)

Vanilla almond milk really helps to bring out a bunch of matcha flavors that tend to hide.

So thankful for the Teeny Tiny TTB because even though it’s a baby box, there’s a ton of tea inside!
I’ve been meaning to try straight gunpowder for a while, but I never had the chance to till now! I’ve had it in blends, but never alone. Needless to say, I really like this tea and I think I’m going to keep it :)

Teeny Tiny TTB!!

Ahhh I got the box today and it’s such a teeny little box but ALL THE TEAS INSIDE WOW THERE’S SO MANY.
I wanna try them all but there’s a TON and I know I won’t be able to.
I’m weighing out my tea. Using the smallest teacup I have, just a wee gram of each tea just to taste it and I’m taking what I want, and replacing it with one of my own.

First tea out of the box that I tried was this! Sadly, a lot of the teas smell similar since it’s such a teeny little thing, so I couldn’t really smell this tea, but steeping it, it smells so much nicer than the spice that I was getting earlier. A nice, bright oolong, and it tastes great as well. Not too strong, not too weak. A lovely tea and one I’ll definitely keep for myself hehe :)

Oh darn. This definitely got bitter :( I was talking to my roommate about spring break shenanigans and I got distracted and BITTERNESS UGH.
But with enough tampering with sugar and water and milk and things, I have an *okay cup.
It’s in my timolino now and I’ll be heading off to my first class of the quarter soon :)

This was the tea that I had flying from SoCal to NorCal! Definitely forgot to log this in.
Decent tea. Definitely prefer it as a cold brew though.
Yes. People were staring at me on the plane because who even thinks of bring tea with them on a flight ahhaa

So I flew an hour from NorCal to SoCal and I wanted to drink tea but I left my sachets with my mum back home so I figured that these little beauties would be great to drink on the plane :)
Yep. I asked for a cup of hot water and dropped these little bad boys in :)
It was actually really good! I had a great cup, but it definitely started getting bitter by the end of the cup. Not the best way to drink tea, but good enough who where I was at. I’ll be trying these sometime this week, this time actually taking time to make the right cuppa :)

So many teas to log and this should be the last of them!

I’m enjoying this tea along with my Oh Canada. Both were cold brewed overnight and both were a success.
Oh Canada definitely has more of a… rustic/darker taste, while this one is so very BRIGHT.
This one works great as a hot or cold tea so I’m enjoying myself very much. It did turn a bit sour, but nothing a small pinch of sugar couldn’t fix :)

Drinking this as a cold brew, recommended by VariaTEA!

It’s good as a cold brew, but I prefer it hot.
I only have enough of this tea for one more cup so into the sipdown pile it goes!

Iced 8 min or more 4 g 12 OZ / 354 ML

I am sorry you didn’t enjoy it as much as the hot brew. At least you tried it out though.

Oh no, don’t apologize at all!
I do like it, very much :) but between hot and cold, I like a hot brew just a smidge more.
Definitely like this cold over some other cold brews I’ve had before

Made this tea, threw into my Timolino with a drop or two of agave and drove 2 hours to Sonoma to visit my sister. Finally got to her apartment and started drinking my Blueberry Jam and it’s still nice and hot and beautiful! I was so happy when I weighed my tea and realized I had enough for two more cups, so the next cup would be a sipdown :(

I had my sister try this tea and she liked it! And she got mad because I never told her that it was hot and she spilled on herself ahhah. Well, I did tell her that the timolinos keep these teas freakin hot all the time! Just because it’s been sitting there for nearly 3 hours doesn’t mean that it’s gone ice cold :)

Teas in my cupboard are in my personal collection.
I’m always looking forward to reducing my stash so swappable teas are listed here:

Likes/dislikes here:

Tea rating guide:
100-90: Best thing to ever touch my mouth and I want more. Restocking is a must
89-80: Love this tea. Restock if I can
79-70: Decent tea. Neither love nor hate.
69-60: I won’t be upset when it runs out. I’ll drink it but won’t restock.
59-30: I’ve done whatever I can to like this tea and I’ll finish the cup.
29-10: I’ve done whatever I can to like this tea. It may or may not have gone down the sink…
9-below: Let’s not even hide it. This definitely went down the drain.

I love tea.
I drink it.
I log it.
I have a good time.
Lather, rinse, repeat.

I first discovered my love for tea with Jasmine because that’s all my mother would buy, so for the longest time, I thought that all teas were jasmine! And then in 4th grade, I watched the tea episode of Good Eats and that’s when the education started! I’d like to blame Alton Brown for starting this obsession because now I only like loose leaf tea.
It wasn’t until my second year of college that I actually expanded my tea taste buds. Special shout out to Cara McGee, Queen Tea for her Adagio Fandom blends. Because of Cara, I actually started drinking blacks, herbals and whites and pretty much everything else in between. I still have a special love for my jasmine though :)
I drink tea daily. Usually just straight up, no sugar or milk with the exception of chai. I like chai with just a wee dash of milk and a sprinkle of sugar! This little obsession started young and just… kept going, I guess. I have friends who think I have a problem with tea, but I really don’t. Everything is good in moderation.
I also have a mug buying problem and I’ve got Disney to blame for that. At least all my mugs are being put to good use!

also I apologize in advance for lazy tasting notes and horrible grammar in everything I write. I’m an avid fandom blogger on tumblr we have some weird way of talking to each other and sometimes I forget that this isn’t tumblr oops

Disneyland. Literally.
