98 Tasting Notes
Kili again today :)
He definitely is my FAVOURITE in the entire The Hobbit sampler set.
This is probably going to be the first to run out and when it does, I’m definitely going to buy the bigger 3ox bag!
Gandalf was really… interesting.
I wasn’t a fan of the smell since it smelled soooo strongly of Almond Extract and I’m not the biggest fan of almond extract.
Steeping, it lost a bit of the almond, and smokiness took over.
Not the best blend I’ve ever had, but it DOES seem like a very Gandalf blend.
Mmmm the mocha in this blend! You can definitely smell the Mocha Nut Mate.
I’m still experimenting with this tea blend. My first cup was very bitter and the next one was flavourless.
I’M REALLY HAPPY WITH SNOWBUD OH GOSH.
I was expecting something really grassy like the other white tea that I had but this one. It didn’t taste like grass at all. It was nice and sweet and smooth and just oh sooo niiceeeee
Fili was good!
I drank him yesterday so I forgot things.. umm.. he’s good. I approve.
SMAUG. You are a funny one.
Yuuuuuum. From the aroma right out of the tin, you know this one’s going to be good!
A really nice chai blend, perfect with milk and sugar. Definitely one that I’ll be upset with when I finish it all up!
You can smell the apple right out of the tin! Right out of the tin, the aroma smells sooooo good. The Apple and Sour Apple overpowers a lot of the other flavours, but it’s lost in brewing. When it brews, the smokiness of the gunpowder and the cocoa nibs take over.
Tastes pretty good with a bit of milk and sugar.
HE’S GOOD? Ish..
Like.. It’s a nice green tea, but it had a weird aftertaste?
But still, it smells sooo good coming right out of the tin.
People make fun of how I make tea because I like my tea very… bland? Well, I steeped this for about 2 minutes and it was the perfect amount of time for me!
The smell of this tea right out of the tin, oh it was amazing. It smells like the weeks leading up to Christmas. Not exactly Christmas though, that’s the Watson blend for you. It had such a hearty aroma out of the tin and steeping it, I felt like the Irish breakfast took over and lost a bit of the cinnamon. But adding a dash of sugar helped bring out the sweet potato and cinnamon!
**With more experimentation, I’ve decided that Bilbo Brew with just a small dash of milk and suger is amazinggg. But with milk, I had to steep it a little bit longer. Like… almost 7 minutes. I’m weird with how I like my tea okay
