80 Tasting Notes
Came back to this one after not having it for awhile. Though a good shou, doesn’t really stack up to the Dayi cakes I’ve been drinking. Used about 4.5g of leaf in a 4.5 oz Yixing pot. Rinsed it and rested it for about a minute, then did steeps of 15s, 10s, 20s, 30s, and 5 minutes.
Good stuff, both infusions were good at like 2 1/2 and 3 1/2.
Good 2 infusions for the last cups of the day.
Tastes even better than usual in my new Yixing pot. This is the smallest one I have, around 4.5 oz. Got about 5 or 6 out of around 4.5-5g of leaf.
I used a bit more leaf this time (4 heaping tsp in my 14 oz pot), and all 3 infusions came out pretty good. The last one here is a little lacking, but it’s not as weak as last time. Did the steeps at 2, 2 1/2, 3 minutes – water about 195-200.
Liking this Oolong today, used 4 level tsp in 14 oz pot, water just off boiling (200ish). Got steeps at 2 1/2 and 3 minutes, the second fell off a little, but still good.
