6 Tasting Notes
Great red color, fairly dark when steeped. Fruity aroma, hard to describe. Light fruity aftertaste as well. Smooth and easy to drink. A nice evening drink, no caffeine. Sweet and slightly buttery.
A basic supermarket tea, probably not a great quality, but this is my go to when I’m feeling under the weather. A nice, slightly earthy chamomile that is great with a teaspoon or more of honey. I almost always have some of this on hand for an evening cuppa.
This is an OK green, kind of bitter and bland. The mint feels strong to me, overpowering the lemongrass especially. In a pinch it’ll do, but not a personal favorite.
A classic Earl Gray, mom loves this one and always has a bag or two around. Strong flavor for a bagged tea. Nice citrus/bergamot flavor. Great aroma. Good for a morning pick-me-up. The K Cups are pretty good, too!
Careful not to steep this one too long or it gets bitter. 3.5-4 mins w/boiling water.
This is an OK chai, also easy to find in stores. Less flavor than Stash chai. Best with really hot water. I steep it a long time, 5-6 mins at least. Strong cinnamon flavor, but less spice/clove flavor than Stash. Overall not a strong or full-bodied flavor, but a nice tea.
New to tea, this is a favorite though. One of the best supermarket teas, easily available for around $4/box of bags. Would like to try the loose leaf, presumably more flavor. Prefer this to Tazo chai.
With milk and a little honey, makes a nice pseudo-latte. I usually have some of this around.
