789 Tasting Notes
I could have sworn I did at least one note for this… Oops. Well it’s gone now and I’m sad. This is the most buttery oolong I have ever had. Mmm… I think one of my favorite smells is the aroma of a buttery oolong. Mmm this is very buttery with a thick mouth feel. It has a sweet buttered vegetable thing going on but the dominate taste is butter. Almost like really buttery peas. I love this oolong.
I don’t think I’ve ever logged this one but tonight I just want something… different.. I will admit that I hate the aroma of the dry leaf. It smells like vinegar. Very off putting.. But good news is that the vinegar aroma disappears after it’s brewed. The flavor is nice. The cucumber is very natural tasting and it blends well with the sweetness of the white tea. There is a nice vegetal note. It’s quite relaxing, actually.
Thank you Angel and Teavivre for a sample of this! Mmmm I was craving a rich black tea and I hope found my winner! I opened the package and a rich cocoa aroma spilled out. The leaves are beautiful, too. Mmm the flavor isn’t as rich as I was hoping but it’s still very enjoyable. This tea has light cocoa\caramel notes but there is something vegetal to it. Like sweet potato.. or raw string bean. There is a touch of malt, too. I really enjoy this tea. It’s nice and comforting.
Decided to try this one out of the Traveling Teabox B. Hmm… I can’t decide if the flavor is good or not… My boyfriend said it tastes like breakfast. Like eggs and hollandaise sauce.. It does have an odd taste to it… It’s sweet from the berries but I don’t think the ginseng blends well. I keep trying to like this cup but.. I just don’t think it’ll happen..
