695 Tasting Notes
Ok so when I went on my trip I packed like 10 different teas to take. I guess I forgot to take my bag with the tea in the house because I found it in my car on my break. I dug through it and found this one. Oh my goodness. It made me so happy. Yesterday and today have just been stressful at work so to have good tea available to me is quite nice. I enjoyed these quite a bit. So malty, chocolatey, and full of happiness. :]
I’m not completely sure who sent this to me but thank you! I decided to get back to working on some of my samples from swaps. They’ve been sitting around for a while.
This one is beautiful. It’s very soft and delicate. The first thing I can taste is the rose which turns into lavender and ends in a minty sweetness. I can tell that there is jasmine in this blend but it kind of blends in between the lavender and rose. The white tea is behind the floral flavors but I think it lends a soft peachy-like sweetness to it. Very soothing.
Made a pot of this tonight and enjoyed it quite a bit. Smooth vanilla mingles with sweet and tart berries. Tried it iced and didn’t like it as much as I did hot.
Completely forgot I had this tea until I just picked up a random bag. Well I made a HUGE pot of it and took a bubble bath. I’m enjoying the flavors in this one. I had a super heavy meal (followed by pie and ice cream…) and I feel like I can really work with light flavors right now.
Light peach and lemon notes. There is a bit of a sweet veggie and butter flavor going on. Not sure if it’s the veggies or the green tea.
The aroma of the dry leaf is sooo nice. exactly like a rootbeer float. The flavor is also exactly like a rootbeer float. Nice smooth rootbeer flavor and then it has a wonderful creamy note to it. One of my new favorites from 52teas!
Ok. So this is the first month that I’ve been subscribing to Handmade Tea and I’m pretty impressed. You definitely get your moneys worth.
I’m not one for coconut but the aroma of the coconut in the dry leaf is heavenly. It’s rich and creamy.
I think I over brewed it a little bit but it’s still good. The first thing I notice is the black tea then the coconut. The kiwi kind of adds a subtle sweetness. The oil from the coconut kind of adds a creamy and full mouth feel. Like I said… I’m not one to like coconut but I really like this blend :]
Guys. Baby ferrets are the cutest things. Mine keeps hopping around the kitchen attacking my feet…
But anyways… I’ve been so busy lately I finally have some time to just chill. Which is very nice. I’m still addicted to drinking out of my gourd(which is what I’m doing right now..). To be honest I don’t really like the first two gourd fulls. They’re just too strong in taste for me. But after that it’s perfect. :]
I felt like having an odd tea. The lapsang is slightly overpowering the cherry and caramel. The caramel sticks out a bit more than the cherry.
The aroma of this is so strong! I’m not much of a coffee person but I really like the flavor of this one. It’s smooth and just a touch creamy. Chocolate, vanilla, and mocha. The flavors balance out well.
So I bought a gourd and a bombilla with my birthday money. I’ve wanted one for a while but just never actually got one until now. I must say it takes practice to make it right so the leaves don’t come up through the straw. I’ve been drinking mate in it for the past couple days and I’m addicted. I feel cool :] and I feel like it tastes better. Though that part might just be in my head.
