832 Tasting Notes
I received a couple samples of this one from IrishBreakfastLass in our random sample swap :] The aroma of this tea is deep with dark chocolate notes. Mm the flavor is very toasty and smooth with a creamy dark chocolate aftertaste. Hints of toffee and mocha are hanging out here too. Thanks again!
I received this one in a random sample swap with Jes! So thank you :] Well I messed it up by adding too much water. Oops :/ But it smells like warm pumpkin pie! And I love the little pumpkin candies :D The flavor is slightly spicy with notes of pumpkin. The spice certainly does have a little bit of a bite to it! MM.. One of the better pumpkin teas I’ve had this fall :] A nice start for this morning! Thank you again!
I ruined it! The tasting notes for this tea was at 123 :P Anyways, if it weren’t for this swap I probably would have never tried a maple tea. Hmm this tea is very sweet. I am getting caramel and maple. Someone mentioned that it tasted like a maple bar doughnut and that’s exactly what it made me think of! I didn’t think I’d like this tea as much as I do because I’m not a huge fan of maple flavored things. But the rooibos was a really nice base for this tea. All of the flavors mix so nicely :] Thanks again!!
A huge thank you to Pekko Teas!!
The color of the liquor is a beautiful rust red. The aroma is slightly earthy with a little bit of a toasty note to it. I most certainly can catch the jam and toast notes. It’s slightly dry with a warm wheat note and a sweet ending.
I received this one from a random sample swap from Meowkattack! I was so excited when I got this one because it was soaked in honey. I have never, ever seen a tea that was soaked in honey. Well I went to Teavivre’s site and read up on it. I decided to do multiple steeps with this oolong. So here it goes!
212° for 1 min.
The color of the liquor reminds me of watered down honey. The smell is light, sweet, and with a hint of fresh veggies. The flavor is kind of floral and sweet. I can get a slight hint of honey in the background.
212° for 2 min.
The color has gotten much, much brighter. Almost to a yellowish-green. The smell is very vegetal. The flavor has gotten a little more deep into the oolong with hints of vegetal and savory flavors.
212° for 3 min.
The liquor has turned to a light brownish-yellow. The aroma has turned deep and vegetal with buttery notes. The flavor has a slight mineral taste to it along with a deep oolong flavor. There is still a slight buttery/vegetal flavor to it but it’s very light.
This is the first oolong I have tried steeping multiple times and I loved it! I think it is so amazing how the flavor changes with every steeping! Thanks again!!
I received this in a random sample swap from Meowkattack! I decided I wanted to use my clear glass teapot today and I’m happy I did! The color of the liquor is beautiful, a light olive green. I don’t think I’ve ever really tried a dragonwell tea. The smell has a sweet fresh vegetable scent to it. The flavor is light and kind of reminds me of buttered peas. I haven’t enjoyed a plain green tea in some time so this was very refreshing! Thanks again!!
