892 Tasting Notes
I had a little bit of this left in my tin so I thought I’d try finishing it off! It’s a very smokey tea. To be honest the first time I’ve ever heard about Lapsang was from Colin Hay’s Beautiful World(one of my favorite songs!) when he was talking about making tea :] So I had to give it a try. When I opened the package I smelled beef jerky. It kind of grossed me out. But then I tried it and loved it. It tastes like a campfire smells. MMM. I agree with most people saying you’ll either love it or hate it. It’s definitely something everyone needs to try at least once.
My, my, my it’s a beautiful world. :]
Preparation
Mmm.. I completely forgot I had this tea! But I’m happy I found it. And good thing too because I’ve been craving a jasmine tea. Anyways.. this tea smells wonderful, fruity and floral. The flavor is light, mostly floral with fruity undertones. The flavors blend well :] This makes a good tea to just sit and relax with.

A big thank you to TeaEqualsBliss!
This tea smells like vanilla rootbeer. I was wondering about the jasmine and lavender being all up in there but I can’t really taste it. Or maybe it just blends in? Either way it makes the tea look pretty :D I am just getting little hints of rootbeer but I’m mostly tasting the vanilla and honeybush. It’s still really good though :] Thanks again TeaEqualsBliss!
Preparation
I received a sample of this tea from Yogi. For some reason I was thinking it was herbal. But then took a sip and tasted a little more then herbs! I also should never underestimate Yogi’s tea. I always think of it as “just another flavor lacking bagged tea.” But no. The first sip was like “BAM!! MINTY. SPICY. SWEET. UNEXPLAINABLE FLAVORS!” all up in my face (in a good way of course :D). But really this is an amazing tea. So.. sweet, minty, and spicy. I never would have thought these flavors would be working together so well. Well.. Yogi got me again.. Now I have to go and buy more..
Preparation
Thank you to Amanda for sending me this sample! I finally have some time to myself to catch up on the samples people have sent me.
This tea smells wonderful! Hmm. Maybe I used too little tea to the amount of water? Or temperature.. but anyways it was a bit weak but it was still pretty tasty! It reminds me of a tea from The Tea Grotto. It has a light fruity flavor but you can still taste the green tea base. I really like it. I like the mellowness of it.
Preparation
Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for this sample :]
When I opened the bag it smelled tart like cranberries! In a good way of course. It made my mouth water. It’s not tart like I thought it would be, it’s actually mellow and sweet. I can taste the rooibos working with the berry flavor. It’s pretty good though. After the few first sips I added a pinch of sugar and I feel like it brought the berry flavor out a bit more.
Preparation
So after my cola matcha experience I had to go for another interesting flavor. Bubblegum matcha! Here is the link:

This morning I actually got a chance to make some. Seriously the water couldn’t heat up fast enough.. This matcha tastes exactly like bubblegum. No weird flavors going on here. It’s sweet and I feel like it works well with the matcha’s natural sweetness. After the first few sips I let the rest of it cool so I could try it at a lower temperature. It would be even better iced! At the cooler temperature it brought out the bubblegum a little bit more. It was nice :]
If you are feeling adventurous or in the need of something sweet I would recommend this matcha. This one is probably my new favorite and just might become the “must have” in my matcha collection :]
