9 Tasting Notes
Vanilla Rooibos from the Bulk Barn is my all time favourite vanilla rooibos tea. I’m addicted to it and have it almost every day. It makes great caffeine free lattes. The price is so reasonable that I usually buy tons of it to stock up on it whenever I go to the Bulk Barn.
This one is great iced. I have a daughter and I’m one of those moms that tries with all my might to limit junk, sugar and all that kind of stuff. I like Goji Pop because it’s healthy and my daughter can drink all she wants. It’s very refreshing iced and tastes like gummy bears. My daughter will ask me for more “gummy bear” tea when she’s thirsty. I enjoy this tea hot and cold. I had a cold and put some honey in some hot Goji Pop tea and I found it very soothing on my throat.
I couldn’t pick a favourite tea from David’s Tea if I tried, but if I really had to pick one, it just might be this one. It makes the best lattes! I make very low fat lattes with 1% milk and a teeny bit of stevia and it tastes like an evil, fattening treat. This is my go-to tea when I’m trying to watch my figure and cut down on goodies. Just when I start to feel deprived and sorry for myself, I’ll make a pumpkin chai latte and I’m happy.
Coconut is my favourite flavour, so I just HAD to pick this one. I got the buy three get one free option. I couldn’t wait to open my new matcha teas to check out the aroma. I was pleasantly surprised since the aroma was of a definite coconut smell. It was the perfect balance between coconut and matcha, so the coconut did not overpower the matcha and vice versa. I gave some to my 13 yr old daughter and she loved it and thought it was the same kind of treat as you would have in a hot chocolate. I found the same balance of matcha and flavours in the other three matcha teas I got from Red Leaf.
In my opinion this tea is amazing for both taste and soothing a sore throat. My daughter and I had a nasty respiratory infection that just wouldn’t go away. I was strolling the streets on my break at work and visited Teavana as I often do since I’m a tea-aholic. I bought some Opus Rouge and brewed up a pot of it. I used double the amount of the recommended tea for steeping, so it made a nice dark coloured tea. The tea felt so soothing on my daughter’s and my throats and we drank the whole pot between us. The very next morning we woke up feeling like a million bucks. I now require this tea in my cupboard at all times. I enjoy it without being sick of course, but I love how it helped make my daughter and I feel so much better. It tastes incredible too, so it wasn’t difficult at all to drink the whole pot. It’s also very nice iced. It’s my daughter’s favourite iced tea.
