I was debating between having vanilla Comoro or this one with breakfast this morning, but decided I’d take the vc to work in my timolino. Somehow, this seems like a more appropriate breakfast tea. In the tin of sachets, there’s definitely an earl grey-esque scent, although it’s most certainly not overwhelming, and it’s nestled among all sorts of other scents that I can’t particularly distinguish, but which are nonetheless sweet and inviting. I let it steep for about four minutes, and added in my requisite cream and sugar.
So far, I think this has been the best EG-esque tea I’ve had, and I’ve typically not been a fan of those. There’s so much more than your basic bergamot happening here; it’s got a thick mouth feel, has creamy vanilla, and somehow manages to taste both elegant and cozy, and I think comfort and elegance are difficult to find together. I liked it so much I thought of brewing it up my timolino for work as well, but settled on the vc, as I’m toying with a longer steep time for it to see if I can’t harass some more vanilla out of it. So far, I’m liking Parris better than vc.
And thank sweet heavens it’s a shortened week. I don’t know what it is, but I’m just having a lot of trouble adjusting to not having enough free time to myself, and this is despite a fairly ordinary work schedule. And I’ve always struggled with discerning between whether or not it’s a lifestyle adjustment thing or if these are legitimate warning bells. I suspect it’s the former, because a girl like me can always find something to complain about, unfortunately!
Have a great Tuesday!
