This is lovely! I had totally missed the fact that it had jasmine flavored rooibos in it. I’ve only had jasmine scented/flavored tea, and I didn’t really like it. However the jasmine is nice and subtle, and doesn’t overpower the blend. Same goes for the mint. Actually everything in this tea is lovely together. This is a really great blend and Cara did an A+ job with the percentages of all the ingredients.
So many swaps to work on! Yay! Can’t wait share the tea love. :)
Just like Sleepytime but a little more mellow. Nothing special but I do love my cup of “something with chamomile before bed”.

Smoke and spice and everything Sherlock. :)
This is fantastic. My first taste of lapsang souchong ever, and though it’s blended I feel like I’ve passed some sort of tea milestone. :P
Love, love, love this. Think a light masala chai over a campfire, there you have it. A bit spicey and smokey with a nice standard black tea flavor thrown in. I was worried that lapsang souchong was going to be too smokey, but it’s really interesting how it comes across in the tea. Who would have thought that a campfire would be tasty! I’ve had a puerh that has a smokiness that leans towards tobacco, but this is totally different. My future-MIL didn’t like it, too much smoke for her. But wow, I love it!
Drank straight, no milk or sugar. I figure this is the way Sherlock would have it (they never have milk anyway). While this seems perfect for a winter’s day, even on a summer morning it’s delicious. This gets a check in the “restock” box.
Mmmm. Dry this smells like a blueberry muffin and if you sniff a little deeper, earl grey. Brews to a really lovely red. I’d tell you what it smells like steeped but my nose is a little stuffy and whatever the scent is will not come through!
The taste is interesting. In some sips I get a ton of early grey, others the blackberry (that comes over more as a blueberry) dominates. The vanilla is more of an aftertaste on the back of my tongue. I added a bit of stevia to sweeten it up a tad. Definitely going to try this in latte form!

Holy moly. This is delicious. Got this as a sample with my last order. Read some reviews on here and decided to try it iced, so cold brewed overnight and then some.
Smells just like a piña colada and is an awesome bright yellow. Tastes of super pineapple-y goodness. Not too tart, nice a sweet (did a bit of stevia). Mmmmmm. I only wish the sample had more in it!
So Adagio suggested 150F but that seemed a bit low, plus the zojirushi has 140 and 175, so I just went with 175. ANYWAY.
I’ve been avoiding this sampler but I think it’s time to give it a try again and play with the brewing. This one is pretty good, nice toasty flavor. Not a whole lot of the chocolate that the description says should be there. Some sort of nut flavor is there, not sure which though! I really do need to try teas straight before I try the flavors. Oh well, tasty in any case. :)

All gone. :(
Nothing super new to say except that when resteeping it really helps to have the right temperature of water! I used to just use whatever was in the kettle, at whatever temperature. However, I now have my zojirushi to use! It’s super awesome. Can’t wait to use it for gong fu cha. I got three cups out of the leaves so far, not sure I’ll push for four. Woo!
Hmmm.. this is interesting. Almost done with my samples from Epi Tea, only the Blood Orange Rooibos left, which they’re not continuing, I’ll probably still try it anyway!
Hmmm.. this is interesting. Almost done with my samples from Epi Tea, only the Blood Orange Rooibos left, which they’re not continuing, I’ll probably still try it anyway! This makes a really pretty cup, lovely deep amber color. The smell is very very light though. The taste is fairly light as well, more rooibos I say! :) It does have an interesting taste though,I haven’t had any elderberry or current flavored teas (that I can reacall) so that may be what I can’t place. A little tart, but not overbearing. Not sure I’d get more.
/sigh/ I forgot to bring enough tea whilst visiting my parents. I am now raiding their stash of teabags to find some good blacks for the mornings. This isn’t bad, I’ve had it before. Not a whole lot of “deep” flavors here, but it’s nice.
A chai that doesn’t make me cough when I drink it, yay! I’m a bit sensitive to some of the more spicy teas that have a whole lot of ginger in them. I love the cinnamon in this (I put cinnamon on everything), and it’s nice a soft with just a hint of that chai bite. Yum!

I’m finding a lot of Epi Tea’s offerings don’t blow me out the water, but they’re really great for everyday teas. Definitely a good option for wanting loose tea quality conveniently, like at work or when I travel. I’ve only got 2 left to try!
Edit: Upped the rating, as I drink more I like it even more!

Not a huge expert on Irish breakfast tea (in fact this may be my first). Apparently this is supposed to be composed of mainly Assam. No idea what Assam by itself tastes like, so new mission: find a black tea sampler of straight black tea that is commonly used in blends. Then I will learn!

Anyway, really nice looking dark cup (I do love my black tea), the taste is pretty generic “black tea”, but smooth. A nice hint of smoke. Definitely a tea bag I would take along for travel.
Pretty tea! It looks like I’ve got green rooibos, chunks of fruit (the package is downstairs, I’m assuming orange and lemon) and some pretty flower petals in the tea. The liquor is a nice deep orange, it smells tangy and citrusy.
I definitely taste the lemon, and I think the orange kind of mingles with it. It’s not bad, especially considering that citrus teas aren’t my favorite. It’s sweet, definitely no sugar needed here. I’d love to try it iced as I love the Green Rooibos Bonita iced (which has more fruit like peaches, and no citrus). Tasty!
Edit: I just read in another review that this smells like fruity pebbles, so I re-sniffed and yes it does! Kind of tastes like it too!
Had this earlier today, got it as a sample from my last order. I love it when free samples are included!
This was alright, not a favorite though. Definitely did taste like strawberry and a bit vanilla/cake-y. My cup was cloudy though, not sure why or if that’s normal. Wish I had a chance to try this cold, but I used all my sample up. :(

Got this in a swap with Emilie, thanks again!
This smells fantastic, mmm chocolate covered strawberries. The liquor it’s a really pretty deep orange-red.
Really lovely flavor, dark and delicious. Definitely a cocoa taste and not just a “we dumped chocolate syrup in it” taste, which is great. The strawberry mingles really well and I pick it up as a bit of an aftertaste. Yummy!
