38 Tasting Notes
I read through the reviews here first, and maybe I shouldn’t have. It always makes me question my taste because I actually quite like this tea, unlike so many reviewers here. I liked that peachy-peach taste, and I imagine this would be really good iced. My hubby even liked this one, and he normally only ever drinks really really sweet southern iced tea. Anywho, I got a free sample of this with my most recent order, and someone gifted me another sample that I’ll add to my next order. Yay for freebies!
Absolutely one of my favorite teas! Not as strong as a regular earl grey, with those hints of creamy vanilla and caramel. The white blueberry just lends a sweet fruity softness too it, yet isn’t overpowered by the black teas and bergamot.
One other thing I love about this tea- Adagio adds in an extra ounce since the TARDIS is bigger on the inside ;) Gotta love that! I will definitely keep buying this tea for as long as they have it available.
I finally got the large bag of this tea! Previously I only had the sample tin from the Sherlock set. I do shake this one around a bit to get more of the cherry, but this has to be one of my favorite “wind down” kind of teas.
This was much better than I was expecting it to be. A lot of times I find black tea to be too astringent. This Earl Grey was lovely! It still had that strength to it, and the citrus was just right. Maybe all those “tippy” tea leaves made all the difference! Anyway, I really enjoyed this and am glad I got a bag or two from my sis.
Love the smell of this tea! It has a light fruity taste. I’ve been making it hot lately but the few times I tried it iced it was really good as well. Made it today before going into work- a nice little cup of tea to help me relax before I start the crazy of working retail, lol
I had wanted to stretch out my last little bit of this tea for as long as I could. Sooooooo, for a while now I’ve had just enough for one measly cup just hanging out in my cupboard. When I made it today it was so sad. Not only was it my last bit, it had more chamomile than anything else :/
Now I’m ready for bed! lol, darn chamomile
Lemony! That’s pretty much all I got from this one. It seems like a tea I would really only reach for occasionally if I was feeling under the weather.
Slightly malty, perhaps from the Assam? Not sure as I’ve never had Assam just by itself, but that’s how I see it described and I do pick that up in this tea. The tiger eye has notes of chocolate and caramel, which I’ve also never had by itself, but this tea definitely as that taste. The cinnamon and orange peel in the oriental spice serves to enhance the chocolatey goodness just that much more. I love this tea with sugar. Such a comforting blend, surely it can get you through all those tough Supernatural moments.
Cold brewed is the way to go for this tea. I just dump everything into a pitcher before I go to bed, leave it in the fridge, and strain it in the morning. If I forget to strain it, no big deal, it still tastes great. Eventually I’ll get a pitcher more suited for this. For now this works.
So before when I made this iced I brewed it double strength and then poured it over ice. This time I cold brewed it. I left it in the fridge for waaaaaay longer than I was planning (it was in for about 20hrs) so I was hesitant wen I tried it tonight. I was pleasantly surprised. That bit of fruitiness is great! I did put a bit of sugar in the glass, about 1/2 tsp as I only made one cup.
Still not sure if it’s enough for me to re-purchase, but for now I’ll enjoy my sample.
