10 Tasting Notes

Macaroon Magic from Steeps the Urban Tea House
84

Definitely my favourite rooibos at the moment! It almost counts as dessert… delicious and happy.

White Pear from Revolution Tea
34

Not my favourite. It would probably be decent if I were just expecting a slightly sweet white tea, but I was really looking forward to a deep pear flavour… which I did not get. I guess I’ll keep searching. It is light and soothing, but I can’t see myself buying another box.

Red Tea Rooibos Spiced Plum from Tetley

I liked, but didn’t love, this tea at first. But, with the addition of just a little bit of honey, it is totally enjoyable! This tea is warming and soothing, and I look forward to it in the evening.

Focus from Tazo

This is a really enjoyable tea. I love the orange flavour, but it balances nicely and doesn’t overwhelm. It is incredibly flavourful – it won’t be an everyday sort of tea for me, but I’ll certainly enjoy the box.

White Christmas from Stash Tea Company

This is… okay. I think it’s a bit sad to cover up the white tea flavour with peppermint. It really does just take like peppermint tea to me, thought maybe a little better than average. I wouldn’t seek this out to buy it again.

Steeped Tea from Tim Hortons
90

It may sound silly, but this is definitely one of my favourite teas. I’ve just never had a bad cup when ordering, and I treat myself often. We joke that it’s just “a cup of love.” My order is 1 cream, 1 milk, and 1 sugar.

Refresh from Pukka

So disappointing. I’m usually a fan of mint teas and I like rose and fennel as well, but this one had such a strong “soapy” flavour that I didn’t finish my cup (and I did give it two tries in case I was missing something the first time)!

Love from Pukka

This is a lovely happy herbal blend which is welcome anytime and fabulous for sharing. Though it seems floral and springy, it’s aniseed flavour makes it perfect for fall as well. I encourage you to serve this in a delicate cup and enjoy the aroma as much as the taste.

I’m not sure where to find it in Canada, but if anybody knows I’d be happy to hear it.

Joy from Tazo
80

I love Tazo Joy and look forward to it every year. I think the Oolong is the flavour that is appealing to me here, but all in all it’s a nice blend that doesn’t require milk or sugar to be thoroughly enjoyable. I wouldn’t steep this any longer than 3-4min. as it will get bitter.

This is nice on it’s own as mentioned, or with lots of steamed milk, misto-style.
