I picked this up in a local tea shop over the weekend… the smell was wonderful… tea was ok. I tasted the strawberry but it was more like tasting Nesquik strawberry syrup we use to make our daughter strawberry milk. This has a slight chocolate flavor. Overall I would drink this again but will not replenish the tin once it is finished.
193 Tasting Notes
I was THRILLED when I opened this up for the tea of the day! I have been eyeing this tea on the website and am so glad I got to “sample” it! I love it! Nice sweet green tea… can taste the banana and peach but again neither flavor overpowering.
Sad night…. my daughter and I are enjoying the last of this tea. On a happy note though I can order more (it is in the permanent My Sweet Honeybush Collection) Seriously if you have not tried this tea you have too…. It is AMAZING!
I am new to black currants… this is only the second tea (or anything) I have had with black currants in it. I like it! Nice light white tea with a sweet fruity taste. I wish I had more in my sampler. I want to try this as an iced tea! I think I will resteep the leaves to try this iced.
This is great! It isn’t a Holiday tea but could be. I want to place a Harney order real soon to get some more of this and I am dying to try the Vanilla Comoro! Any one else have any other Harney favorites I should look into when placing my order?
I will have to try steeping this again tomorrow… I just did not enjoy this one as much as I wanted to today. The cherry flavor I was getting just didn’t impress me. I will try again tomorrow and repost.
I absolutely love the label on this tea and totally want the cupcake on it STAT!!!!! :) I guess I have to settle with the tea instead. The tea is scrumptious! Nice blend of mint and chocolate neither flavor too overpowering. I enjoyed this as today’s tea of the day. Once again looking forward to tomorrow!
Well my husband and I got all dolled up last night and headed out to my new dental office’s Christmas party (I just took a business manager position with this office and am transitioning into the position while finishing up some things at the dental office I had been working… January I will be completely transitioned into the new office. It was very nice to be invited to this Christmas party and it gave me an opportunity to meet all the staff That being said we were at a very upscale restaurant that makes wonderful food and brings it to you with artistic designs on your plate. After cocktails, dinner and dessert I decided to have a cup of tea expecting a decent cup of fine tea…. NOPE I was brought a tea pot with a bag of Lipton in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t believe such an upscale restaurant served LIPTON!!!! My husband jokingly said to me that I have much finer teas at home :) All in all it was a great time but I had to come home to have a decent cup of tea!
This tea is really good! The Apricot and cinnamon blend so well together! I am not a big fan of rooibos but I found I really enjoy this tea and will probably order more of this. (Which is nice because had it not been in this sampler I most likely wouldn’t have purchased a whole pouch of it)
Great tea of the day! I am LOVING the 12 Teas of Christmas sampler! I had ordered a pouch of this before and really like it but I am glad it is in the sampler because I had sent one as a gift! Everyday the recipient of my gift and I are discussing the “tea of the day” and it is a ball!!!! (Even though it has been a week and I still have a horribly sore throat and cough) This is there first experience with 52 Teas and they are loving it! Today I think this tea sealed the deal! They want to order more :) Woohoo… anxious for tomorrow!
Backlogging from yesterday… this was the second tea in the 12 Teas sampler and it would be a wonderful tea if I did not have such a sore throat! I can’t wait to have this tea when I am feeling better!
Tastes true to it’s name! I enjoyed this tea although I sadly am not a pina colada fan. But I am rating it higher because if you enjoy Pina Colada’s this tea is for you! Glad I got the opportunity to sample this one :-)
My family is not having a good winter so far! We are all sick again…. with strep throat. This required something cold. This is mostly sugar with a little tea but it is addicting stuff and very refreshing.
Made as a latte this morning… delicious!
Had a cup of this at work today… did not taste any vanilla just very astringent black tea! Not sure how old the tea bag was but def not one I will try again. I finished the cup because I had nothing else to drink.
Added a splash of Peppermint Mocha Creamer by Nestle today, yum yum!
sad day…used the last of this tea in my latte. I have grown quite fond of this one! I will have to replenish the supply very soon! I am still trying to perfect my lattes and found Frank’s recipe that I had received with my 52 Teas order… and I was not adding the sweetened condensed milk, so today I gave it a whirl. YUMMMY!
milk+sweetened condensed milk+tea+ Dark Chocolate cream from Breve Creme= Dreammy!!!
Wow… I was actually excited to wake up this morning because my order from 52teas arrived yesterday but it was too late in the day for me to have a black tea. I knew the Hot Buttered Banana Bread would be a perfect way to start my Saturday and I was not disappointed!
The banana was really strong to the nose when opening the pouch but when steeped it mellowed out and blended well! I get a great taste on the banana, nuts and buttery bread tones. If you like banana then definitely check this tea out! I added a little rock sugar to the cup which I think enhanced the tea nicely.
I am getting mostly spearmint and vanilla with a light green tea base. It is refreshing hot… I would like to try it iced! I think it would be very refreshing in the summer iced. I think I may make a batch of this iced to take to my grandparents over the holidays since it is always 110 degrees in their house :)
Stopped by my mom’s house for an hour before picking up my girls at daycare today (they were still napping), enjoyed a cup of this with her. I have the regular Hot Cinnamon Spice at home so I was anxious to try the Decaf version. It was good… not quite as strong as my regular (it could be the amount of tea or brewing time my mom used) but delightful taste without the caffiene. I am already planning on ordering a tin of this with my next Harney order!
Thank you to Meghann for sending me some of this to try.
This was my first ever experience with Black Currants so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was sweet with a little spice to it from the cardamom. I enjoyed the cup and am glad I got to try this one. I am not sure I would order a whole tin for myself but again glad I could try it!
White Mao Feng tea, blackberry pieces, raspberry pieces, peach pieces and mint. (ingredients for this tea from Teavana’s website… when I read the description for this tea on steepster it differed from just strawberries and white tea)
It is a nice light white tea. The fruit and mint are nicely balanced with neither being too overpowering. Great for multiple infusions!
I needed tea desperately and I decided to break into one of the teas I just recently purchased from 52teas. The reason for my desperate need for tea was 3 out of 4 family members got a stomach virus, me included, over Thanksgiving. I had no desire to eat or drink anything until today. The positive side of things is at least my husband and I did not gain any holiday pounds from Thanksgiving dinner. We will have to make up for it at Christmas!
Anyway, we are much better and this tea is great! The smell from the pouch is so coconut-y! The taste is coconut/vanilla. I am not really getting the “crust” part of the pie. I added some rock sugar to this cup. Next cup I think I will try adding some milk in addition to sugar. It is a delightful cup of coconut tea!
Having a cup of this tonight… peppermint never gets old!
