In honor of Lala’s work on the hot tea month thread in discussions, I decided to have this again today with yesterday’s leaf. Still delicious.

I finally landed three kerbalnaunts on Mun today AND I got them home safely. (applause applause) My rocket design skills are still lacking but a score is a score. Kerbal Space Program for the rocket science nerd in all of us. Yeah I should do T-Shirts.

Lala Congrats Rocketman!

Wow, I imagine the party the Kerbalnauts must be having right now…

Do you get to recreate the Apollo 13 things where you dump a box of junk on the kitchen table and somebody says “We gotta make this (round hose) fit into that (square hole) using THAT?”

Anna – The Kerbalnauts stayed out all night partying. I figured the best way to deal with them was to get everyone up at 6:00 and send them back to Mun. Strangely it never wiped the smile off their faces.

Gmathis – the frustratingly fun thing about this game is you have to dump the box on the table before you launch and have a plan for everything. There is no fixing it later. Re-entry is not the time to realize you have no chutes. I keep forgetting to extend the solar panels so the batteries won’t run out. It’s just a simple game but it does give you a new respect for all the thought (and science) that goes into space travel. The only violence in it is due to my poor planning or bad construction. Fortunately Kerbals don’t hold grudges.
