drank Organic Green Tea Powder by Teavivre
1719 tasting notes

I’ve learned two things already this morning and it’s not even seven. First, peaches and cream oatmeal sounds far better than the wretched stench that I just had in a bowl. Ick. Of course there are more packets of it than anything else in the box. So there’s that.

Second, a little tired of trying to stir green tea powder in to cold milk, I used some hot water first before adding milk. The hot water released a roasted almost dark roasted oolong flavor into my cup. Very unexpected. So this morning’s mug is not the frap alternative I’ve been drinking. I did have caramel and vanilla syrup in the hot mix as well. Later today I have to try this as just a tea.

They put soy and other crap in it. Not to make you jealous, but I am having oatmeal that I flaked myself from oat groats, made with milk, fresh blueberries, and organic granola. My husband actually PREFERS packaged mixes because he wants so much sugar in it. He will convert soon…..just as he did to good tea!

Hah, the fruit & cream oatmeal variety pack was my favorite thing ever when I was younger, especially the blueberry. :P

You know why cockroaches will survive a nuclear holocaust? Cause they eat crap. At least that’s what I live by. kidding (sort of) We put frozen mixed berries on waffles a few days ago. I sure hope your blueberries were more tasty than ours. More tart than anything. I picked them out and just ate the raspberries and blackberries. You are like a pioneer woman with the chickens and oat groats. Good luck with the conversion.

I love the blueberry & cream – give me more of it and way less peach. Just ewww. Sure hope the strawberry and banana are better.

The blueberries were good! :) I think frozen ones do tend to be more tart.
Funny thing, but hubby would buy the assortment pack at big box stores, but he hates the Maple one. He hates how the smell of maple syrup lingers. So last winter, to save him from the desperate mornings trying to choke down the maple flavor packet, I made big bowls of it and fed it to the chickens as a cold morning treat. HA! They loved it, but I don’t normally let them eat non-organic food. I found a cheaper multipack for hubby with no maple flavor so he is happy now.

I bought a separate box of the maple and brown sugar. There is a cinnamon one I really like as well. I bought these when I realized the simple bagel and cream cheese smear was closing in on 400 calories. Most of these are 130 (worst is the maple @ 160) and they fill me up with my glass of tea milk. On days they don’t I have a 100 calorie low fat yogurt and I am still way under the bagel. Haven’t tried regular oats with fruit yet. Not that brave yet. Translation – the sugar monkey still hates the idea. I can’t convince him I’m not twenty any more.
