1473 Tasting Notes
Yum yum yum. My wife and I are drinking this like mad. It still tastes like a blue icee, without the syrupy sweetness, and the mint makes it just beautifully refreshing after being out in the sun.
Preparation
I drank an entire pitcher of this today. That just about says it all.
Preparation
I am on my third cup of this today…nom nom nom. I think I only have another 1-2 in the pitcher, and I’m suddenly very sad that I didn’t resteep the leaves, as I used up the last of them in this batch. This started off as something to just get a bag out of my cupboard, but has turned into a must-buy restock! Yum yum yum.
Preparation
Hot, the wife and I were a little disappointed in this one. But iced….it’s so good! It lives up to the promise delivered by the smell of the dry leaves. It’s citrusy and minty without being overly tart, and it is cool and very refreshing on this ridiculously hot Toronto day!
Preparation
I made a gallon of this and I’m sad to report I really don’t like it. It’s weak and the rootbeer taste is overshadowed by the black tea and what I can taste of the root beer just falls flat, in my opinion. I’m chugging it today both because I need to stay hydrated and it’s the only iced tea I have on hand. I’ll be glad to be rid of it, though.
Preparation
Finished the pitcher, not really interested in a rebuy. So long, friend!
Preparation
I’ve got midsummer night’s dream cooling in the fridge (cool faster, damn you, it’s hot!). It was the one we were the most excited about…and then most disappointed in.
Haha, I was actually tempted to do a DT order a little while back and that Midsummer was the one I was really interested in.
I got a new perfect mug today (purple and white, like my kitchen!), and decided to break it in with a cup of this standard. But much like the other night, the cord of my kettle was wrapped around the drawer AGAIN and I opened it without looking AGAIN and the kettle started to fall AGAIN and idiot that I am, I reached out to catch it…AGAIN. Luckily it did not spill this time. Tea is out to get me.
I still love it, though. And this tea….it is just love for me.
Preparation
So I enjoy this tea, but I’ve been on a bit of a “clean the cupboard out” spree. It doesn’t help that I’m going to see my brother (who is kind of into looseleaf, but not as much as I am) in a few weeks and I promised to bring him tea. He loves mate, loves coffee, and lives where he could get to a Teavana if he wants more of this blend, so this is going to him…along with far too many other teas. Apparently I am incredibly not stingy when it comes to gifts of tea for family…he’s even getting a perfect mug! Granted, it’s used, but we have a full set of the DavidsTea birds now (I couldn’t resist the newest one…it’s purple and white, just like my kitchen), and his name is David, so I figured he’d get a kick out of the DavidsTea logo one I have.
Anyway, it’s just like the last time I had it. One sip I love it, but the next sip I can’t stand it. I don’t understand this tea, I just don’t. More for him, I suppose.
