Black Dragon Pearls from Adagio Teas
Keemun Hao Ya A Grade "Chinese Breakfast Tea" from Chicago Tea Garden

Black Dragon Pearls from Adagio Teas

Mmmm. Yummy cocoa notes. Rich and satisfying. Makes a good cuppa. I used 5 pearls in about 8 oz water and it seems to be just right.

Keemun Panda from English Tea Store
82

Surprisingly good, particularly for the price. This could end up as my “everyday” Keemun!

Golden Heaven Yunnan from English Tea Store
Adawatte Estate Pekoe from TeaVert
Ooooh Darjeeling from Adagio Teas
81
Royal Air Force from Rare Tea Company
77
GABA Oolong with the Finest Hojary Frankincense from Aftelier Perfumed Teas
87

This is really quite lovely. Not overly perfumed, particularly if prepared in short steeps, and the frankincense meshes really well with the GABA oolong. Relaxing, sweet, and decadent.

Earl Grey Creme from The Persimmon Tree Tea Company
76

This is the best Earl Grey Creme I’ve tried. Actually crave-worthy.

Hairy Crab Oolong from Dream About Tea
79

This most recent batch is a bit more roasted than others, but the peachy quality emerges quite nicely after the first couple of steeps. Delicious.

2009 HOR from Jun Chiyabari

I don’t know much about this tea. Got it in a bag of samples direct from the grower/producer. But mighty good. Darjeeling-like, with a clean, fruity edge.

2nd Flush Darjeeling | Margarets Hope Silver Moon from Canton Tea Co
94

Very special Darjeeling. Rather light, so drink it on its own. Nutty with a bit of light fruit in the finish + a bit of malt.

Lu Mu Dan Flowers (Green Peony) from Chicago Tea Garden
68

Very light, very delicate. I prefer my green teas with a bit more power, but this isn’t bad at all. Pretty tea “flower”, too.

Keemun Hao Ya A from TeaLula
75
Ooooh Darjeeling from Adagio Teas
81

Ooooh, this is good! Adagio bigwig Charles Cain insisted that I try it during my recent visit to one of Adagio’s retail shops. I’m not overfond of Darjeeling oolongs, but this one is really, really good. Clean and crisp, but also slightly fruity. Color me impressed.

Superior Long Jing (Dragon Well) from Canton Tea Co
88

Right. Long Jing isn’t one of my favorites, but if I was forced to drink the stuff, this would be the tea I’d choose. Nutty, rich, slightly vegetal. Wonderful.

Earl Grey Creme from The Persimmon Tree Tea Company
76

A surprisingly good and smooth Earl Grey Creme. Balanced, gentle flavors. Definitely a good choice for vanilla lovers!

Vanilla Berry Truffle from The Persimmon Tree Tea Company
68

Nice rooibos tisane: Creamy, slightly sweet, mercifully tame hibiscus.

2009 Yong De * Min Feng Mountain Wild Arbor tea from Yunnan Sourcing
71

This is a very nice sheng pu’erh. Aggressive, though not overly so. Probably not a good “starter” tea, but for those who’ve been drinking pu’erh for awhile, this one should work nicely.

Golden Silk from Dream About Tea
93

This is better than I remember. Slightly earthier, but still sweet and smooth. Wonderful

Golden Monkey from Adagio Teas
70

This is a nice, smooth, cocoa-y Golden Monkey. A perfect introduction to black tea without milk or sugar added. Nice.

Keemun Hao Ya A from TeaLula
75
French Breakfast from Octavia Tea
71

Remains a lovely, fragrant brew. Perfect first thing in the morning.
