I enjoyed the appearance of this tea and was excited by the little golden balls and the whole cloves.
I wasn’t crazy about the smell…put me in mind of cinnamon jelly bellys…which was probably the only flavour of jelly belly I didn’t like. I’m beginning to wonder if I actually like cinnamon at all. When I think of rice pudding, or apple pie or anything like that I feel cinnamon should be an ingredient, and I throw powder and whole cinnamon sticks into into many Indian dishes so I would say yes I like cinnamon but if I come across any cinnamon flavoured sweets or gums when I travel abroad I think it’s disgusting. I always throught I liked cinnamon but not ‘fake cinnamon’ but I think the truth is I like a little cinnamon with rasins or apples.
Back to the tea…it had a beautiful appearance while brewing…shimmery gold. When I added milk the shimmers disappeared and it revealed itself to be a pale weak tea that still smelled like a cinnamon jelly belly. That is how it tasted too.

I really love tea… and when I say tea I mean Barry’s or Lyon’s Irish Breakfast Tea. It’s what I grew up knowing as tea and for me it’ll always be the best.
I have also drunk infusions, normally berry flavoured ones. I am beginning to explore other teas.
I take black tea either infused in water with cold milk added or as a tea latte with sugar.
Mate, Green, white or infusions I take plain.
