28 Tasting Notes
Playing catch-up from this weekend – I finally got around to having a couple of these! One with honey (at the long-standing suggestion of my roommate) and one without anything added to it (after sipping off my favorite persons’). The honey adds a nice sweet touch – not too overpowering, but I only get the faintest hint of tea. The plain black tea latte (iced) lets the tea come through a little more, but still is cool creamy smooth goodness thanks to the milk. A very nice summer drink indeed! :D
Not a fan of really fruity/berry teas, but if you are, perhaps give this one a try. The tea itself is light and tastes mostly of blueberries with a hint of floral something (the white cranberry perhaps?) in the background. Very fragrant berry notes right from the start, it smells sweeter, stronger, and heavier than the tea actually tastes, which [imo] gets in the way. Not horrible, but not something I’ll reach for very often.
Definitely smooth, there is something really nature-y about this tea. The toasted notes carry through the entire sip start to finish, and [imo] the whole experience is middle-tones. It’s floral, mellow, and faintly grassy, but nothing is bright – just very even keel. It actually tastes darker and the floral notes linger heavier than I expected (although I am rather new to tea). Not bad, but I’m not sure I’m a fan – I think I’d like to try this from a different purveyor before deciding…
