5 Tasting Notes

Gingerbread Spice from Celestial Seasonings
47

I like ginger in just about everything, but this was not my favorite. The ginger is somewhat overwhelming, and the luo han guo made it a little too sweet for me. It’s certainly not undrinkable, but I wouldn’t get it again.

Ginger Peach from The Jasmine Pearl Tea Merchants
72

I just tried this at Medley, a new tea shop in Multnomah Village. It’s quite good – the ginger is spicy without being overwhelming and it does have a hint of peach. I’d definitely drink this again.

Coconut from Adagio Teas
90

I received a packet of this for a birthday present – it’s great! Coconut is one of my favorite flavors, so I really enjoyed this and need to get some more of it.

Rustic Apple from Sierra
22

Another meh from Sierra. I was expecting this to taste and smell like apple, given the name, and was surprised to find it’s actually a rooibos, which I don’t particularly like. Ended up drinking about two sips and tossing the rest.

Cinnamon Sensation from Sierra
41

Meh. This is the first cinnamon tea I’ve ever had – not bad for a cheap teabag brand, but not sensational either. It smelled like cinnamon but didn’t taste like it as much.
