This tea room just opened up near me and I went there today for the first time with some friends. It’s a nice place, working hard to draw people in. On Wednesdays they hide two-fer coupons under plates and chairs for people to find; you can rent china cabinets (not sure why anyone would want to, but okay); and best of all, you choose your own teapot, teacup, and cozy. There are quite a few choices, which can make things interesting.
Medley has a pretty good selection of tea – the tea menu is four pages long and you can find both it and the food menus on their website.
The atmosphere is pleasant. You can sit in a comfy armchair or at a table, hide away in a nook or people watch from the window. My only complaint is that it’s relatively difficult to find a table for three people if there are already a few groups of similar size in there, and if you have more than three you’re out of luck without moving some chairs around.
I’m looking forward to going back to Medley multiple times and seeing how it develops.
