230 Tasting Notes
I enjoyed the filter bag version of this so much that I used my Christmas Starbucks gift card to buy the “full leaf sachet” version, wondering if there would be a difference in taste. Well, its tastes pretty much the same. You can’t really take perfection and make it any better. lol. Hmm, well I guess the flavor may have been a little bit stronger. I’ll have to revisit the filterbag version to compare. I don’t know how much honey I added, but it was too much. Or maybe this version is naturally sweeter?I think my night time tea ritual has a sedative effect on me, because even though peppermint isn’t known for making you sleepy, I’m struggling to keep my eyes open now. Good night, all.
Round 2: Sometimes with… unique teas you have to take a creative approach. I did half a teaspoon of this tea and half a teaspoon of chamomile, and double the sugar (2 teaspoons). I regretted the double sugar. However, the tea was more palatable this time.
Next up: iced! lol
I ordered a 3.5 ounce tin of this and got it this morning. I really really wanted to like this after the big success with Tazo “Rest,” but on first sniff and taste, I’m not happy. It smells really really strong and awful. Takes me back to Adagio’s rooibos jasmine. Very perfumy. Even my cat backed away when he smelled it. On tasting it, it tastes pretty similar to the smell but not quite as bad. I’ll give it another try later today but I’m not too hopeful after this.
I just want to try a new tea and actually LIKE it, dagnabut! >_<
