drank Cranberry Pear by DAVIDsTEA

I did it! I wrote THE END on the rough draft of the manuscript. 123,849 words long, which exceeds the publisher’s requirements by about 24,00 words. So clearly, I have a lot of revisions ahead of me. But I finished it! So I made a pot of Cranberry Pear to sit down with now. I am exhausted but unable to sleep. This tea is supposed to have low caffeine. It is as usual mild and sweet. This is certainly not the greatest tea in the world, but it remains a dependable favorite. It’s a “comfort tea”, like mashed potatoes and gravy are comfort food.

This is the 10th and last book in this series. I really love the world and the characters, but to be completely honest I am THRILLED to be done with it so I can move on to something else. Well, not actually done yet. I have my revisions to do, then edits. But close to done!

Crap! I meant to begin with a thank you! Seriously, thank you, everyone, for the well wishes!

i just looked you up…are you the paranormal romance MB? There’s a lady at my work that reads that genre constantly, whilst I’ve never read a one…I’m just finishing The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay….are you a reader as well as a writer?

(and I meant to say that you make this tea sound muse-like and delicious! I’m happy I live miles from a David’s or I’d be wandering in there asking for it!)

I don’t know what an MB is, but I love to read! I particularly enjoy sci fi and fantasy. Patricia Briggs just had a new book out that I devoured. I’ve been published with Liquid Silver Books since 2010, but I’m nobody famous. You could ask 100 readers if they’ve heard of me and not a one will have. But a few extra $$ a month helps buy tea, so it’s worth it.

I love cats. I love alone time. I love sitting indoors on a cold winter night with a book or my knitting while drinking tea. I don’t have a sense of smell, so many of the more subtle flavors of tea escape me. Two of the things I CAN taste are bitter and sour, so any tea that has even a slightly bitter taste is nasty for me. And what others might perceive as pleasant tartness may be horribly sour for me.

I’m also a writer. I love writing, and a mug of hot tea helps me get through the hours sitting in front of the computer. Although I’m a comparatively new tea drinker, I’m jumping in feet first. Feel free to recommend any teas you think I might enjoy.

100-91 – Wowza! I want to keep this tea in the cupboard all the time.
75-90 – Very nice. It would be good to have this tea on hand from time to time.
60-74 – OK. Wouldn’t keep it in the cupboard, but I would drink it again.
45-59 – If a friend served this I would drink it to be polite, but it’s not really my cuppa.
Lower than 45 – Blech. It was too sour or bitter for my taste. Would not drink it again.
