I absolutely love the smell of this tea!! I can really smell the blueberry and the cream cheese.. after the first few sips all I could really taste was the blueberry and I couldn’t really get any of the cream cheese,, I wanted it more creamy so I added rice milk with this to make it a tad more sweeter, and I always thought that rice milk tasted like cake so all the better, now it’s very creamy and blueberry.. I still can’t taste that cream cheese!! I will try it again maybe with a blend of pumpkin cheesecake..
67 Tasting Notes
This was an alright tea, I felt like having a tea bag… the smell was so strong with the chai.. it was so spicy for the smell, it put me off a little… I couldn’t really smell the cocoa in this… the taste of the tea is the exact opposite,, I can taste the cocoa, and not so much the chai.. I did add milk and sugar to tone it down though…. It was drinkable.. I did enjoy it… I wouldn’t buy it or feel the need to drink this again..
This tea was weirdly oily… is that strange to say?? There was alot of little oil bubble things at the top of the mug.. or is that just london water for you? I don’t know…
the taste of the rasberry was so strong that I couldn’t really get the chocolate in this,, even with actual chocolate chips.. maybe the oil was from this?? Sour after too much brewing…
I don’t know what to get of this taste. It’s not a bad taste, you can taste the rooibos tea in this, quite a woodsy taste, I can’t really taste white chocolate in this, maybe a little hint of toffee but otherwise it tastes like a sweet rooibos wood flavour.. all in all.. it’s not as it says on the tin, actually it tastes a very small amount of irish creme!! I should put some in if I had any on hand haha..
I would drink it all.. I wouldn’t buy this tea again, I got a sample of it and I’m glad I’ve had it, been sifting through bags and bags of samples!! a million left to go! haha.
I don’t know.. this tastes like green tea with lemon sherbert,,, a very sweet lemon taste. it doesn’t taste natural to me… I don’t like this so much,, I might try it iced but not for a while…
I NEED TO GET MORE OF THIS TEA… WOW,, my perfect coffee substitute..
Smelling it from the bag it smells like black tea with coffee beans… smokey.. roasted.
brewing the tea, it smells like coffee!!! A really lovely roasted coffee smell, oh I loved it..
tasting it, I could tell it was tea, which to me was a good thing, because if I wanted a full on coffee, I would have just made coffee instead.. it still had the good coffee taste, I’m glad it was smooth and rich but it wasn’t as latte as I had wanted.. I will be making this again with frothy milk, ohh latte!!
I love this tea… The smell from the bag, I couldn’t really detect much from this smell… Brewed, it smells so much better, I get a nutty chocolate mate.. I loved it… even better,, the taste..
Tasting it.. It was a perfect strong chocolate taste… not a sweet chocolate, more of a bitter chocolate which I loved. It was rich, not as smooth as I had hoped but seriously.. steeping this tea for a little longer than usual really REALLY makes the difference..
Now that the tea is cold I tried to have a sip, shockingly.. I like this tea cold rather than hot.. only because I can taste it more, the sweetness comes more like this,
I don’t know if I’d buy this again… I’d definitely drink it again but I wouldn’t stock up bags of this…
I absolutely loved this tea, it is my perfect peppermint tea, not too much peppermint in here and the perfect amount of chocolate to compliment it..
I couldn’t smell so much from the bag, I only noticed the cute red lips which made me all happy and fuzzy.. the aroma of the tea brewed is lovely, it’s such a perfect black tea smell with peppermint, I can smell something sweet, not sugar though…
I drank this alone… no milk or sugar. It was perfect, I was gulping this down, and I might even have a resteep of it!! It tastes like after eight chocolates (if you’ve ever tried) which I eat constantly at work and to have this as a tea?!? I’m buying more of this! I NEED THIS TEA IN MY LIFE…

re-writing this review seeing as the last one was at about 4 in the morning and I was so tired… plus it was rude to run away from entertaining my guests (at such an hour, I know :p) to writing this review, I needed to remind myself of writing this.. so here goes!
First of all the smell.. from the bag.. I get the sweet smell from it, the bakewell tart is clearly the smell of it.. after steeping for about 4 minutes I notice that the sweet smell changed to a more pastry type smell… the sweet smell was subtle.. and now the tea was more creamy, I could really smell the tart in this, coming from this cup, I could detect a little bit of almond and cherry in this, plus the little almond pieces in this tea are such a perfect thing for it..
taking my first sip… the tea is more of a reddy brown than golden, and I was so blown away about the texture, which was the first thing I noticed.. I have never before tried a tea that was as smooth as this!! This even comes up to ‘Paris’ – Harney & Sons consistency!! I was very shocked because at such an affordable price I wasn’t expecting such a tea to be like this!!! The taste – In my personal opinion, I don’t like hugely sweet teas, and I was so relieved to know that this tea doesnt taste like what it smells like from the bag, the taste is a rich creamy, almond, cherry flavour… which I can easily tell that this IS marzipan tea! I gave the tea to my friends and they knew exactly this had to be a marzipan tea, so I’m glad that when you drink it, you know that it is marzipan tea. The empty cup smells like bakewell tarts, the sweetness has come back again so maybe while its hot the creamy pastry smell comes out more… My advice is to try it on its own.. I genuinely think that no milk or sugar is needed,,, I will be trying this tea out again with milk to see if this helps with the creamy smoothness of this.. If anyone loves sweet tea, then go for the sugar but for me.. it’s my perfect sweet creamy tea, I will be buying atleast 5 bags of this… only because it’s a limited edition from christmas,, and they are selling that last few bags, so I need to get down there quick before they go!!!

Oh my goodness!! This tea literally tastes like Pina Colada! I can taste the pineapple and the coconut in this,
Im really glad that this is a honeybush tea, I couldn’t imagine trying this as a black tea, somehow, I really wanted to put this tea in a tall glass, with tons of ice cubes and a cherry on top with a little umbrella.. perfect! :D I like the crisp texture in this tea, I just don’t know why I’m screaming for it to have some cherries in!!
the only thing is that I’ve no more of this left :( I really really want some more!! it’s so sad.
I’m so sorry but this tea isn’t for me at all.. I made a jug of it and all I could taste was watery sugar.. I literally had a sip and threw the whole pot of it away… I was so disappointed because I really wanted to start getting back into more herbal tea.. turns out I don’t like them still.
This evening I really wanted a bitter tea, something less than a cup of coffee so I decided to have a chocolate tea… I didnt want to go for a sweet chocolate tea, so I was hoping that this wouldnt be as sweet as chocolate is,, gladly this isnt so sweet, Its not as bitter, I was hoping for a bitter rich chocolate taste but it isn’t, I guess Ill have to make do with this tea, I wouldnt drink this again to substitute the coffee.. I need a stronger tea, overall.. its alright, I can drink it.. besides the coffee I need.. its not a chocolate drink that lives up to other choccy teas… Im guessing it would blend with other teas well,,, other than that.. on its own,, id rather not..
This is an AMAZING tea!!
With sugar and milk.. it tastes like chocolate truffles.
The smoothness of this tea aswell.. I can almost taste the chocolate powder on the truffles, it’s so perfect. I can’t detect as much of the coconut as I had wished but nevertheless it was delicious! It tastes more like dark chocolate rich tea, a rich tea but don’t think that this tea is bitter, it’s not that type of dark chocolate taste.
the aroma in the bag is much much sweeter than the taste, it smells a little bit like irish cream tea, which I must admit made me a little worried about this tea.. but! I can’t taste any irish cream when I actually brew the tea.
The price for this tea is really quite cheap for the quality of it, which is great!! This is the easter collection from The Covent Garden Tea House – so I bought 2 bags of it!! And now having some, I might even buy more!! I can compare this tea with the caramel sweetheart from yumchaa.. this choco truffle is the perfect chocolate tea that is a rich truffle treat, the yumchaa one is sweeter, just a heads up!
This time I brewed 2 bags of this in a tea pot and left it for about 5-6 minutes, the time it brews really makes a difference in this tea, I noticed that the spice aroma came out a lot more than before. I was worried that it would taste like a spiced chai rather than gingerbread but I was relieved.
After the first few sips I decided to add milk with this, to tone the spice down, as I do with most of my chai teas. The aroma now smells more like gingerbread than spice, which I’m very glad of. The taste is more of a spiced ginger, can’t quite write the bread part, it just didn’t reach that real gingerbread taste.
As for the texture, it was alright, nothing I could hint that really made a difference there, not light but not a smooth or heavy tea. Overall this tea is drinkable, for a quick sit down with a book or laptop. I personally wouldn’t serve this tea for guests, it doesn’t spark enough… For the price and for an everyday tea (which I will stick by) it was a good tea to drink whilst doing something, rather than relaxing and sipping in pure bliss, I still have yet to find a gingerbread tea to sit and enjoy sipping
For me, the first thing was the smell.. it smells strong, in a good way. The creamy chocolate aroma coming out of the tea pot was already delicious.. I couldn’t detect any hazelnut in the aroma but nevertheless it was a mouth watering aroma.
The colour of the tea is a dark brown red and having the first taste.. the whole taste was wondeful. I could taste the chocolate, the cream, the hazelnut..
The only thing that I could say about this tea is that I was hoping for a thicker smoother tea, it was quite a light tea.. I might add some almond milk next time but on it’s own the texture was far too fresh.. I hoped for a creamy tea with hazelnuts and chocolate.. I could taste alot of the rooibos aswell. I hope that I find a tea just like this as a black tea, which could really help on the texture of this.
I’m not a great fan of peppermint, but this tea is just so perfect!! It hasn’t got that strong mint taste that I can’t enjoy it, the tea is a brown colour more golden brown.
The tea is light and refreshing, there is nothing artificial about this tea, it’s au natural and perfect before bed or after tasting so many flavoured teas, it’s perfect for after a hangover as well.
The consistency of the tea suits the tea perfectly, a light splash. that’s how I feel about this tea.
Instead of having this iced, I had it warm.. shocking!! It was so so good.. I was worried that it would be too sweet for something like this.. but it was just perfect perfect!! Iced and Hot, LOVE IT..
Loved it last time, love it again.. had this with my sister this morning, it was delicious!! Unfortunately I was so tired I automatically put sugar in it… bad idea.. It really didn’t need the sugar, it’s better without.. but still all in all it was delicious and all gone! Only a little left of this!! nooo… :(
I absolutely loved this tea.. I was smoking a vogue cigarette feeling the Paris vibe and drank up this.. First thing, I love the smoothness of this tea.. you can deffinately taste Paris.. the streets, the people ( not literally :p ) and it literally tasted like Paris. I love the fruit in it, it’s not too sweet.. just perfect on it’s own.. I’ll have it with milk next time I make a cup of this, I just need to stop gulping it down so quick!
This tea I thought would be a creamy tea, having this sent to me I had no clue about it.. brewing the tea, it smells of the red candy you get at the beach.. it smells like that sugary rock.. I was worried it would taste exactly the same but the taste doesn’t come up as much as the smell. Only when you swallow do you get a sugary taste of it.. which you can either love or hate,, I quite liked it. I couldn’t drink this often.. it would make me feel a bit sick. Just like the candy rock..
I absolutely love this tea with milk and sugar, better with palm sugar… I was scared about chai, I’ve had chai that had been too spicy to drink down it burned my throat, so I was glad that this was the perfect spice for me.. and the coconut really comes out and compliments this chai tea.. ohh, I’m buying more of this!! It’s not a bad price neither!!
This is much much better than the black tea, I prefer this sweeter than the black tea.. I will keep this tea, doesn’t need milk.. I can taste the apple pie… not as pie as I had hoped but all in all it is a lovely tea to drink again and again,,
