Mmm smells delicious. I would say in advance that it will be smooth. And indeed. Rich full taste. As black tea should be. The good kind ;)
Wouldnt say it’s the best black I’ve tried, RareTea Company tops it, but it’s still quite delicious.

For me Twinings is among the champions of bagged tea.

This is a nice relaxing and refreshing infusion. Camomile and spearmint make a nice combo. Very drinkable. Soothing. Sweetish.

I don’t like licorice. However, out of all teas with licorice I’ve tried so far this one is best by far. Really goes well with white tea flavour. I hate it for example when they make a chocolate flavoured tea then put in licorice. Then I just get that scent of artificial sweetness out of the licorice. But his combo when the tea is all about licorice flavour is really much better.
I don’t hate licorice anymore :) I just hate it sometimes now. Kinda like jasmine. At this very moment while drinking this white licorice tea I’m enjoying licorice. Never thought I’d say that ;) Yep yep licorice ain’t all that bad…

drank Sencha by Golden Moon Tea

My 1st sencha. Judging by the previous review I didn’t pick the right one to start with but it’s worth a try. Lets see if I like this.
Leaves look quite similar to Kukicha tea I got home. Dark green. Not sure if that’s how they’re supposed to look.
Tea is deep yellow. Smells similar to that Kukicha again. Just less strong. I’m really not an expert on these. For me it smells quite nice.
OK I kinda get the reviews now. This is not as good as it smells. That Kukicha I keep comparing it too is so much better. This is bitter first of all. Not smooth enough. Just not very good. The after-taste is let’s say OK but still not very good.

Wouldn’t buy this one…
Gotta try some different Sencha’s.

Maybe try cooler water and shorter steeping times? I usually see reccomendations for steeping sencha at around 70-75 degrees celcius and only for a minute or two. It’s supposed to have a clean, grassy taste, but it’s generally not supposed to be bitter (which could be the fault of the tea itself as much as it could be ‘operator error’).

water was quite cooled down. idk. will try to do it in even milder. but I was not the only one that had bitterness issues with this particular tea… I think this was the most bitter green tea I’ve tried so far…

argus

yeah, you should use 70-80c water temperature for japanese greens

Loose tea smells awesome. Very fruity.

Tastes interesting. I like the fact that fruit isn’t totally overtaking the scent of green tea. In the citrus fruit blends that often happens.
It’s not sweet. Bit acid actually. For my taste it’s missing some fullness – smoothness.

I came to realise that I really like plain quality green tea. Blends I prefer with black tea.

This one is refreshing and quite tasty but doesn’t wow me at all. Solid rating tho…

Ya know putting like a teaspoon of Aunt Jemima pancake syrup into this tea was a total BINGO! :) I’m happy it stood on the counter and inspired me to try this. Its a perfect blend caramel and chai. Mmmmmm :)

Ummm this smells reaaaaaly smoked. Idk. Not so optimistic about liking this one. But worth a try. My first smoked tea.

Don’t like this smell and I so don’t wanna try it. Takes a deep breath.
OK well it’s more drinkable than pu-erh. Tastes smoked which is weird – but better than it smells. But I must say id rather eat smoked cheese which this reminds me of than drink this tea.

Wouldn’t buy it. Smoked goes better with food… Imho.
Seeing that it has good ratings from the pro tasters here ;) I will skip mine.

I guess this is a love it or hate it kind of tea…

drank White Tea by Golden Moon Tea

Leaves look promising. Large chunks, a flower, very diverse white ingredients. Smells nice. Colour’s yellow as it should be. I think I might like this one.
Mhm white tea FTW. At first it’s slightly sour. But then white tea kicks in with that full nutty taste. I love it and I missed drinking plain white unscented tea. It’s not quite ‘Silver needle – awesome’ but its quite delicious.

Good job with this one Golden Moon.

Nice blend. I’m just getting a hint of pu-erh tho. Bergamot is strongest in it. It’s quite refreshing and all the ingredients did blend in quite well. Color is dark brown somewhere in between black and pu-erh. Smells of bergamot. It’s better than earl gray.
I like this combo.
