It’s still kinda hard for me to rate Oolong because I’ve tasted 2 kinds and they taste quite alike – oolongy ;) It’s very much drinkable – what i like to drink when i want something neutral – like when i’m in the plain water phase. Looking forward to trying more oolongs and finally taste some actual difference among them.

I reckon this is what I need after couple of glasses of red wine :D Looking for a ‘tipsy evening’ tea.
Yep not too sweet, but fruity and soothing. I like this tea. Just what i needed atm.
Loose earl gray is nice chance to show how i steep my loose teas. Tea itself is a decent black tea, nothing very special about it. Think i prefer Twinings teabags. I got a big pack of loose one from Fasig’s eBay store but don’t wanna open it before finishing the other earl gray’s…
I normally drink earl gray without adding anything but this one is almost better with a little spoon of honey in it.

lordy, lordy, how it tastes weird this time. i got no idea what i did. i mean its a teabag – should taste same each time. maybe me eating peanutbutter filled sticks might change my perception so much… im so puzzled – its like the put one bag of different tea in the wrong paper wrapping. or maybe the new heater is releasing a bit of that ‘new device taste’ (even tho its washed and boiled). wont rate, wonder if the next one tastes like this one again. hope not…
suited me today…
Weeee i bought the water boiler for work yesterday and i just made my very first cup od tea at work :D New working era begins lol

Didn’t drink Marrakesh in ages. Kinda overdosed with it I guess when I had bronchitis.
Mmmm yumm peppermint. So refreshing. Just what i needed. Real tea but not too strong. And refreshing. Really not bad this one…
Btw meet my favorite beloved cups :D

Couldn’t resist ordering them from eBay 2 months ago. It was love at first sight. Fishies like Marrakesh too ;)
Looking for something fruity and nice. Hopefully this one will be. So far i love the tisanes from Chinois d’Or.
Color is dark yellow / light brownish. Clear.
Doesn’t smell strong. Mostly coriander.
Oh idk, tastes a bit blah… you know coriander. But then again, maybe… i kinda like it too… (sips more) nah not really. its drinkable but blah. its ummm boring…
EDIT after adding honey its way better. gotta lift the rating a bit…
First of all http://steep.it is the best tea app I’ve found so far. Love it. No more flushing over-steeped tea in the toilet :D
I drank Yerba mate because i wanted something that’s rather neutral and refreshing and something that wakes me up a bit (its 7pm came home from work an hour ago). And that it usually does. Plus making me visit the toilet more often lol. Sorry for tmi ;)
I’ve been badly wanting some tea since this morning when i went to work. Result of a tea drinking weekend.
Color bright yellow, not very clear.
Smells a lot like coriander to me, very strong. Idk if it even has it in. Let me see… Oh no it was anise. Ouzo smell lol. Btw ingredients are: Anise, fennel, liquorice, cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon, ginger and cloves.
OK lets give it a try…
I don’t fancy this sweet part of Yogi’s Sweet teas (like the sweet chilly one) – the kind of sweetness that really kicks in in the back of my throat (that could be liquorice right?). But this one is more drinkable than the chilly one. Its quite strong. Well spicy would be the word. Very sweet, very peppery, strong anise scent. That pretty much kills the rest of chai ingredients.
It really isn’t bad tho. There is something interesting about it. Strong pepper and anis make a good combo.
Teabag message (trying to Google translate the German): satisfaction and self-mastery are our greatest gifts.
EDIT bit later
Honestly it’s so peppery that it cleared up my sinuses and lungs :D makes it hard to drink it fast…
Sip of milk first made it worse but with a teaspoon of sugar its not that bad. Easier to drink…
Just backlogging the first message i got from this tea like a week ago: take a minute per day, to be yourself.

Today’s message: Silence is the highest self achievement.
Really not bad. Can’t tell much difference between this and twining teabags in taste. But this is loose leaf, looks nicer and you can steep it more times.
Couldn’t find a category for this tea. Spice blend as it says on the box. They should add the category here on Steepster. I’m thinking it should be yummy once i find the right mix with brown sugar and hot milk.
Gotta wait for 5 more minutes. It’s brown and getting darker.
Mmmm smells fabulous. Amazing cocoa scent. Like a very very very good hot chocolate smell. God i hope it tastes kinda like that too. Can you tell i kinda like chocolate? ;)
Its smooth. I mean bit weird having cocoa in water but it’s quite good. Needs some milk tho. Maybe just a bit of sugar.
Cup of milk is in, teaspoon of sugar… ok now with milk it needs more sugar too ;)
Lol this is so not tea. Teabag is the only thing they got in common. But o boy… mmmmmmmmmm…
So 2 cups of hot water, 7 minute steep, then add a cup of hot milk and 2-4 teaspoons of sugar. Lay back and enjoy it…

I love drinking plain green oolong in the afternoon. After 2 fruity herbal teas this morning it’s even better. I might break my tea record today :D
Smells nice. Just barely feel that pure jasmine scent that i dislike.
Color is becoming dark red. Maybe even most red tea I’ve had so far. Which is slightly surprising for a vanilla/jasmine tea.
Taste is quite fruity, can feel hibiscus, ginger, cardamom a bit. Idk about vanilla and jasmine – its just too much strong scents in it to recognize them all. Slightly acid. Has some exotic taste in it, ginger and cardamom give it a nice kick but it’s still just bit above average fruit herbal tea.
Gotta try with a teaspoon of honey. Might make it better.
Yes it is somewhat better. Not great…

EDIT couple hours later
it’s twice as good cold :D
This rooibos is so basic and plain that I’ve came to the conclusion that its best to experiment. I got this gift set lately – like a tea set for kids – strawberry themed. In it it has a small tin of strawberry, apple and other stuff. Probably some vanilla. So im trying to mix it now. One teaspoon of plain rooibos and one teaspoon of the fruity thing.
It’s not bad, there must be some lemon in it cause its a bit acid. Ill try some honey with it.
OK i got a quite decent fruit blend. Just as good as the fruit teas that are most popular in my country. Reminds me of them bit too much even. I kinda got used on having some actual tea in my teas.
All together blend is better than just plain rooibos.

one of my favorite ways to start a day…
washing the pu-ehr off :D mmm
Went for a lucky pick with my eyes closed. Picked ripe ginseng pu-ehr. We shall see :D
Doesn’t smell bad (for a pu-ehr lol). Less strong. But I’ve been trying to air them out a bit too.
Washing it off now few times. The puehr smell kicked in (eeek).
After 3 longer washings first steep. 15 seconds. Very short. Experience thought me its better. Smells just like ripe pu ehr. Color not very dark but i washed it off well.
First sip – not that bad as it has been with some. Almost kinda like it. Idk bout ginseng. I just taste pu ehr that is bit better than the others. Has an interesting bitter note. But i still must say these ripe ones all taste pretty much same to me. Some are just bit better than the others. By better i mean more drinkable. Oh well the search continues…

I did investigate what I’ve suspected and turns out i was right. This and my green jasmine tea are the exact same teas. This time i steeped it properly (didn’t forget about it) and yes its the same one, one of my favorites. Green tea, by itself quite mild with bit of jasmine scent, just right amount of lemon peel to harmonize the taste, bit of rose petals to make it more sweet and then awesome ginger that gives it a perfect kick. Like it a lot. It’s very good when steeped properly.
What i like about German packing of this tea – its called Morning tea and every teabag comes with a short message. Kinda like a fortune cookie. Today’s message was: make today better than yesterday.
bit sour or something that doesn’t fit it so well. drinkable but adagio’s is another league…
OMG this smells so irresistible! Chai spices, vanilla… something else too that i find so mmmm. Hope it tastes like this :D Rooibos and chai spices combo sounds quite compelling.
Color is turning pretty orange-red, not very clear…
Tastes yummy. Quite fruity. Quite vanilla. Just a hint of chai. Not spicy really. Normally i’d leave it unsweetened because i’m kinda loving it like this but ill try it with honey and milk as they recommend on their website.
First honey… well for me was better without because it’s sweet by itself but its still very good.
Now bit of milk… yep yep very yum again :D Becomes quite mild. Think i found my perfect evening caffeine free tea.
I’ll give it the perfect rating today just because it surprised me so nicely…
