20 Tasting Notes

Darjeeling #22 from Adagio Teas

tried it for a little longer of a steep this time than the usual 4 min. I instead went with around 6 this time. I like it made it a little more robust and didn’t lose alot of its complexity.

had this this morning for breakfast before my test. I do like this tea a whole lot as a morning tea or dreary afternoon tea. Good malty taste NOT BITTER! there is a difference between malty and bitter and you really should not have a bitter tea if you brew it right. anywho, I like this far more than earl grey bravo. And this morning I tried it with a dab of milk and a dab of honey as apposed to suger it was tasty.

Still one of my favorite black teas. Had some for lunch cause it was cold outside and I wanted to warm my bones and stomach

pretty good. One of my favorite greens. I tend with my kettle to have trouble getting the water temp right for greens. and really to me unless you start adding flavors its kinda hard to have green variations

Foxtrot from Adagio Teas

drinking it iced right now…freakin…yum

Formosa Bai Hao (Oolong #40) from Adagio Teas

Had a cup of this this afternoon. Boiling water for 4 min. I like the taste of it then. Any suggestions out there on how to do it differently that you liked? I would hate to be missing out on a world of flavor that I don’t know about.

Earl Grey Bravo from Adagio Teas

Drinking this right now waiting on my German teacher to arrive so I can take my test I missed when I went home to be with my family. Still not sure on it. I need to spend an afternoon making multiple cups of this stuff and making it differently each time to see if i can find a way I like it….

Virgo (The Zodiac Series) from Adagio Teas

Drinking this right now cause I have a sore throat that is keeping me awake. I have always loved this tea as a night time tea though. Not as much actual tea in it but a few herbals to dim it out. There is not enough caffine in this to actually affect me so its nice at night. Flavor wise its nice. A very clean taste to it. I tend to brew it kinda long since its mostly herbal if I don’t brew it a while it tends to taste a little weaker than I like.

Really enjoyed this tea. It has become my special friends tea when my tea liking friends come over.

I like this tea iced. Hot it might be good if I were to have a sore throat or something just when its hot the citrus flavor is just WAY too strong for a more than once in a while tea. Iced it’s wonderful though cause that citrus flavor kinda mellows out and it ends up tasting sweet.

I am kinda up in the air about this tea. It is good sometimes but other times I just dunno. One of these days I will find a way that I like it but right now its kinda just meh.

Jasmine #12 from Adagio Teas

This is the favorite tea in my cabinet at the moment. I have brewed these up to 5 times and had a good cup every time. I found it only got better with subsequent brews even. All in all a very delicate and wonderful tea.

Love love love this tea. The smell from opening the tin is absolutely amazing and its a nice caffeine free wake me up with the mint.

I really liked this tea. Kind of a sweet finish with a not tooo grassy taste to it. This would be a great everyday green.

100% Natural Green from Lipton

When I used to drink this I THOUGHT it was good. Since trying real greens I have learned my lesson. This always comes out bitter and grassy no matter how you brew it. If you want to try out green tea do yourself and the tea world a favor and don’t get this one.

I loved this tea. It was a very delicate tea for a black tea and had an almost floral or fruity finish as you drank it. I brewed it like most of my black teas in boiling water 212 ish. Then I let it steep for 4-5 min as 5 seems to make a lot of them go bitter

Ceylon Sonata from Adagio Teas

A very smooth black. Very plain nothing over the top about this tea. Makes a good no nonsense cup.
