49 Tasting Notes
This is not a terribly fruity tea – I expected a little more. I think the rooibos overpowers the fruit a little. I’m going to have a second cup to see if my perceptions change.
I really like this tea. The chocolate has a nice cocao flavor and the peppermint is not too strong. And it makes you feel like you’re getting a treat without all the calories of a heavy dessert!
Of all the chocolate teas out there, Republic of Tea is my current favorite. The chocolate flavor is more cocao than sweet. And the strawberry flavor in this tea is not overpowering or annoyingly artificial. This will never replace a chocolate dripped strawberry or a cup of hot cocoa, but it is a viable alternative if you don’t want something heavy & rich.
I actually like this tea – although I have to agree, now that you say it, it does taste a little like a cherry cough drop… but without the sweetness or the coying tartness.
I love this tea for an upset stomach. The flavors of the seeds are nicely balanced so they blend together well.
This is one of my favorite berry teas. It is fruity and tart.
I think the other comments say it best when they say it reminds them of fruity gum. I like pu-erh tea, and I like fruity tea. This tea is a bad combination of both, coming across as artificial fruit flavor (and aroma) that would make the makers of Bubble Yum envious.
I’m a huge pu-erh fan and collector. I like this tea as a simple, easy to drink, easy to make, everyday shou pu-erh.
I’m a huge pu-erh fan, as well as a “chocolate tea” fan. This is neither.
