So after reading about the new genmaicha made with this, I just couldn’t resist..I needed to have a cup. I got 1 oz of this in my last order, I am planning on using some of it to mix with my Chai Spice (which I still haven’t tried) but I definitely will drink about half of it just plain. Mmmm pure chocolatey goodness, breadiness, cake. Totally tasting like a brownie today, yess. I did a 10 second steep and probably won’t get in many more this evening (going out with friends) so it may have to wait until tomorrow for the resteeps. I love the short steep time with this though! So much flavor! See previous notes on this tea :)

If you have the winter ginger blend mix laoshan black with that too…and honey (you’ve probably done this already…but I love it!)
I actually haven’t! I definitely will have to, thank you for the suggestion i’m sure it will be delicious :D especially with the home grown honey! My parents have bees :)
Yum, my daughter is getting bees, goats, turkeys and more chickens and baking bread for the Summer market. I get freebies!
I’m still stalling on trying my Chai Spice too. It’s simultaneously exciting and nerve-wracking. What if I make up a ratio full of fail and ruin a perfectly good brew?
I think verdant has ratios for adding tea for chai. You can always start with a little bit in a brew basket as a test.
Ooh fresh eggs and turkeys are awesome, and of course fresh honey is about the best you can get! I’m probably going to try my chai spice straight up first then play with the ratios, I also think verdant has some guidelines, I have yet to check them out though, I am sure it will be amazing I’ve just not been in a chai mood lately lol it’s not been cold enough I think haha
Yeah, just that it’s been a long journey trying to find a decent chai to make at home (compared to the most perfect house brew at a cafe in my home city), so if Verdant fails me, I just may need to give up.
I hope it works out for you! And hey, there’s always new teas coming out so I wouldn’t quit looking entirely! :)
