I honestly didn’t think I would like Chocolate Orange as much as I do. I was so reluctant to try it because I was pretty sure I would not like it. But I tried it anyways, and I was not disappointed at all!

It has a deep chocolate flavor, deeper and more rich than any other tea I’ve ever had. There is the slightest hint of a natural orange flavor and just the perfect amount of sweetness to highlight all the flavors.

A perfectly flawless tea that I will be sure to get some more of :)

Persian Apple is currently on special and I bought lots of it. It’ll take me a while to finish this one off!. It is one of the most delicate teas I’ve ever had, but definitely worth the extra attention!

There is a lovely, kind of green apple taste with a lovely nutty hint, primarily pistachio. There is a slight acidity (not a bad thing though) from the apples.

TEA OF THE MONTH NOVEMBER 2011: Yellow Dragon

This is one of my favorite teas out there, because it is just so nice and simple!

The mint is so refreshing and gives your mouth a nice clean feeling. It is peppermint leaves, but it comes off as more of verbena mint. The lemongrass is very subtle in the background and it really compliments the beautiful mint. The oolong leaves create a nice base by calming down the mint and lemongrass. It just brings all the wonderful flavors together.

Have a wonderful November everyone!

This tea is absolutely amazing, there is a lovely smooth oolong taste. It is special in the sense that it is very creamy and full and a very slight floral hint.

The oolong leaves expand beautifully in water, but be careful to not over steep it or burn the leaves. It is quite fragile and would be an absolute shame if it were to be ruined in such a way.

drank Choconut Oolong by DAVIDsTEA

Choconut Oolong surprised me at first with its intense, deep chocolate flavour. But then in the aftertaste, there was something very odd that I had never tasted before. I had to ask a few opinions before coming to a consensus that it is a liquorice taste that creates a weird coating at the back of your throat. Personally, I prefer oolong teas where the oolong taste is fairly prominent, and this, unfortunately is not one. I think that if you like liquorice and/or chocolate in your tea, then you will love this :)

when I steeped this tea is straight/ by itself, the color really surprised me. It was a deep purple-pink, and I was expecting something more like yellow-orange. As for the taste, it has a very strong natural orange flavor (as opposed to an artificial orange flavor, which I’m really not a fan of). There is also possibly a slight note of other citrus fruits like grapefruit or something like that. The oolong leaves act as a fantastic base for this tea because its flavor is subtle, bringing out the citrus flavors.

The first thing I taste is the intense cinnamon, that is so strong that it was hard for me to finish my sample cup. It was quite unpleasant. It was also very sweet from the honey. The orange peel and cloves do not really contribute much to the flavor but the red rooibos compliments the cinnamon, making it even more intense.

So overall, it is a very overwhelmingly spicy and sweet tea, and I am not the hugest fan of this tea, but if you love cinnamon, you should give this a try :)
