3 Tasting Notes

Irish Breakfast from Adagio Teas

So, this is the second tea that came in my sampler, and I guess I’ll start with the smell. The leaves have a very earthy smell to them and this continues in the tea itself, and it has an almost coffee like smell. The taste has an earthy, bitter taste. Like the smell it has similarities to the taste of coffee, but less intense. Definitely has a kick to it, and it should help me stay awake while I do some work tonight. I am enjoying this tea very much and can’t wait to have another cup.

So, my IngenuiTEA came in the mail today and I got my 4 sample tins of black tea from adagio. I don’t know how I feel about this earl grey yet. I had two cups today and it started off were strong and overpowering, but as the tea cooled and I drank it more, it began to grow on me and it seemed like the flavor toned down a bit and wasn’t too strong anymore. Maybe I’m just not used to higher quality tea, but for know this isn’t as good as the Twinings, though only time will tell.

Earl Grey (loose leaf) from Twinings

Pretty much the only tea I’ve been drinking. New to the world of tea so slowly starting to expand my tastes, but I really like this. Have been making it every day for a week. A bit weaker than I would normally make it, but still tasty. Also, I like this more than Tazo’s Earl Grey that I had last weekend. The Twinings has a much less overpowering flavor than the Tazo;s.

Bio

I’m a college student who just recently started getting into tea. Haven’t branched out my tea taste too much yet. I’ve mostly been drinking Twinings Earl Grey and I’m really enjoying it. Going to be trying some more black teas when my Adagio sampler comes in.
