1011 Tasting Notes
I opened my mailbox today and found a package from MeghannM! Yay!! As soon as I opened the package, my husband and I set down to smell each tea. As soon as he took a whiff of this one, he just had to have it. The aroma is very blueberry with a little citrus hint from the lemongrass. I brewed up a nice large pot for us to share and we are enjoying it now. Until now, I’ve only had red rooibos and I definitely prefer this green rooibos. There is no woody/weirdly minty aftertaste to be found! This is a great herbal!
The blueberry is noticeable but not overly sweet. The lemongrass is nice in this blend and not overpowering. It is almost like eating blueberries with a little squeeze of fresh lemon. I am really enjoying this while trying to wind down from the day. I think this may have to go on my shopping list!
This tea sounded strangely perfect this morning, so I brewed up a pot. Last time I drank this, I noted that I preferred this plain. Today, I added just a tiny bit of honey and it is still really good. I’m getting a caramel corn sort of taste which I am really digging. This isn’t an everyday tea, but it definitely is a Buttered Popcorn tea.
My husband and I are sharing a nice, big pot of this tea tonight. It is so awesome! Unfortunately, though, my pouch is disappearing quickly (along with the pouch of Strawberry pie)! My husband prefers this tea straight up, but I really like it as a latte when brewed at 10 minutes. This flavor really is spot on.
I received a sample of this tea from Jessica! Thanks! The smell of the dry teabag is very much of raspberry. I steeped this for a bit longer than most would steep a white tea because I like them a little stronger. The taste of the tea is initially the smooth white tea followed by a hefty fruity aspect. This is much better than I thought it would be!
I’m having a quiet, relaxing Saturday night with the help of this Sugar Caramel Oolong. I only have about half a tin left and I’m not sure this will be restocked, but I am really enjoying it while it lasts. The smooth and sweet caramel flavor is nicely paired with the buttery finish of the green oolong. There is a bit of a nutty taste that I recognize as being the chestnuts described by the company. Mmm….the best part about oolongs is the various infusions. Off to brew another cup!
This is absolutely delicious! The steep time of 10 minutes created a richer, smoother and tastier brew than my previous attempts at 6-8 minutes. Wow, this is so great even with additions this time! I love it, love it, love it! I really should be in bed by now, but I just can’t stop drinking this tea!
I don’t usually resteep caffeine free teas, but this one is so good I wanted to see if a resteep was possible. And, I am happy to report that it is possible and delicious. Okay, so the infusion time was 20 minutes, but it was so worth it. The pie aspect is pretty much gone, but you are left with a sweet, juicy strawberry tea that is certainly satisfying. Frank does have a special way with honeybush and I am so glad to be able to benefit from that!
